Calallen Junior pitcher Drayton Mitchell won the UIL 4A-DI State Championship MVP award! He went 2-for-4 at the plate with 2 RBI, but on the mound he was a SMOOTH OPERATOR. 🎶⚾️ He struck out 6 batters in 5.1 innings, while only allowing 5 hits, 3 runs and 2 walks. He also went 2-for-4 at the plate. #RecruitTheCoast taken in Dell Diamond by @drayton242424

“Win on the Last Day.” It’s a saying at Calallen that could happen once again as the Wildcats have a chance to defend their UIL 4A-DI State Championship, facing the same opponent Pleasant Grove. The Wildcats are on the hunt for the program’s fifth State title.

Super proud of Calallen Wildcat Baseball on earning and receiving their UIL 4A-DI State Championship rings. It was an honor being the MC. ❤️⚾️ The detail in this ring features their name, jersey number, Calallen “C” and record.
