I'm a few days late on the birthday of this bad boy, but here's the story. According to the post mark I received this package Feb 8th 1997. I remember opening it and almost immediately seeing the slick glossy pic and the Capitol Records logo. "Who are these clowns?" I thought. I was into 'real' music like Reversal Of Man and Braid. I remember putting this in the CD player and being floored. It felt like I listened to it 10 times in a row. Who's Tom? Why did he send me this? Little did I know at the time, a booking agent followed up a few weeks later and the band wanted to play in my garage that summer. Of course I said yes. Wednesday Aug 26th 1997. It was $3 and maybe 60 of my pals came to watch. Unfortunately it was 4 touring bands so the money didn't go far. I recorded the show on my Hi-8 video camera, the tape is still in my shed somewhere. This album, 30 years later, is a desert island record for me. It has carried me through thousands of road miles, camping trips, weddings and relationships. Little trip through the desert to see The Death Chat and Bad Nerves down in Utah. Side tracked to some late night city action and high desert lollygagging. Saw a lot of cool stuff. That smokestack was a crazy find, the tallest freeform structure west of the Mississippi. Almost got murdered in that abandoned building. Rode the bike 12 miles out into nowhere at the Flats. The bands ruled, the sushi was excellent. LFG! by @drbug666

Treefort Buds. I tried to get pics of pals when I wasn't drinking a million beers. I missed a lot of fun fest buds though, sorry. I still loved kicking it with anyone who wanted to hang. I saw like 32 bands and spent 40+ hours hanging over the 5 days. Get a hot dog at @barplease_ sometime, they're great. Thanks Boise. taken in Boise, Idaho by @drbug666
