The first picture was taken during a chapter of my life when I thought I knew exactly where I was headed.

I was a young doctor, convinced my next step would be residency in plastic surgery. I had mapped out the plan. It made sense. Until God kept redirecting me.

Looking back now, I’m grateful He did.

Fast forward to May and June 2026…
These past two months have been the most exhausting, rewarding, and transformative of my life. I honestly can’t remember the last time I had an entire day to myself. Every single day has been spent at the clinic..planning, relocating, renovating, interviewing, hiring, training, solving problems I never imagined I’d have to solve.

There were days I fell sick and my parents scolded me not to leave the house, stay home and rest. But I still showed up because there was always something that needed my attention. That’s what happens when you’re building something you care so deeply about, you want everything done right.

Yet somehow, in the middle of it all, I still showed up for life too. I celebrated friends, attended the events that mattered, and made time for the people I love. It wasn’t always easy, but I’m grateful I didn’t let this season take that away from me.

No one tells you how hard it is to build a business in Nigeria. The workforce. The business culture. The endless decisions. The unexpected bills. The landlords. The pressure of carrying people’s livelihoods while trying to build something that will outlive you.

The slides ahead are little sneak peeks into the chaos, the progress, the sleepless nights, the new space taking shape, and the exciting things we’re quietly building behind the scenes.

Finally, if these last two months have taught me anything, it’s that sometimes the life you didn’t plan for becomes the one you’re most grateful for. 🤍 by @drchi.okoye
