The last of April and beginning of May 💕 Skinfolk projects and training underway with no shortage of animals to keep us entertained. Caught up on my pre Summer treatments and more importantly a full house staff training and refresh on Obagi @obagiuk . Can’t wait to try the new products and showcase in clinic. Some bts with @adamnhoskins and of course a little bit of downtime for the bank hol @sancarlofumo Have an amazing rest of the bank holiday 💕 by @drchloebutler
I fell back in love with Obagi 💙. I have genuinely been reminded of how inspired i was when training in it over 10 years ago. Learning about Obagi taught me medical versus cosmetic, prescriptive products eg Nu-Derm completely changed the way I looked at skin and i had faith that skin could actually ne transformed. I saw pigmentation, acne, fine lines, roscea improve. Texture improve. Confidence improve. Over the years, I’ve prescribed it to so many patients and watched people’s skin completely change with consistency, the right actives, and proper guidance. Recently I started using it properly again myself, revisiting the protocols, exploring some of the newer products, and layering skincare with treatments in the way it was always intended to work. And honestly? The results have been incredible. The new era of Obagi feels modern, elegant and results-driven whilst still staying true to the science behind it. For me, great skin has never just been about injectables. It’s about skin health first. And when the skin is functioning properly, everything else works better too. 💙🤎💙 Original Obagi Training 2016 Team Obagi Training 2026 Blue Radiance Peels forever 💙 Obagi Nuderm Systems New Obagi products Old Obagi packaging circa 2020 @ Eighth and Eden by @drchloebutler

Where do I begin? A couple of weekends ago - a colleague of mine asked me for help as her patient was having a VO ( Vascular Occlusion) which luckily she spotted happening in the chair. Not only was it frightening for the patient but also my colleague and a sharp reminder for me of what can go wrong. Here I’ve listed 20 reasons why you should have injectables with a Healthcare Professional who can deal with a complication appropriately and hold the necessary drugs onsite. 01 MEDICAL TREATMENTS Injectables deserve clinical care. 02 PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY Registered healthcare professionals answer to a regulator. 03 CONTINUED LEARNING Ongoing professional development matters. 04 PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS Registration carries responsibilities. 05 A FORMAL COMPLAINTS ROUTE Concerns can be raised with their regulator. 06 ACCOUNTABILITY BEYOND THE CLINIC Check who oversees your practitioner. 07 ANATOMICAL KNOWLEDGE Understanding what lies beneath your skin. 08 COMPLICATION MANAGEMENT Training to recognise problems and respond. 09 PATIENT CARE Clinical experience beyond aesthetic treatments. 10 INFORMED CONSENT Understanding risks, benefits and alternatives. 11 PSYCHOLOGICAL WELLBEING Recognising when further support may be needed. 12 KNOWING WHEN TO SAY NO Your welfare should come first. 13 CONTINUITY OF CARE Responsibility continues after treatment. 14 DEPTH OF TRAINING Ask what lies behind the certificate. 15 A PROPER CONSULTATION Medical history, medication and suitability matter. 16 APPROPRIATE INSURANCE Check cover for your specific treatment. 17 ADVANCED EDUCATION Ask about relevant postgraduate aesthetic training. 18 CLINICAL FOUNDATIONS A short course cannot replace a healthcare degree. 19 SUITABLE INDEMNITY Ask how their cover protects patients. 20 PRODUCT-SPECIFIC TRAINING Ask about training in the products used. #yourface by @drchloebutler

Ta dah - well not quite but just like that Skinfolk 2 is about to open 🤎 The last few weeks have been intense and exciting, evoking memories of old clinics, name changes, moving abroad to set up, almost partnerships, new friendships …. These slides don’t even convey the slightest bit of the journey so far but Ioved trawling through to select them. The team, the transformation of Skinfolk Ombersley, the events, the work behind the scenes is relentless but extremely rewarding. I ❤️ Sculptra and so do our Skinfolk clients . What I find difficult to reconcile is seeing Sculptra dismissed by other practitioners while another PLLA collagen stimulator, such as JULÄINE, is championed. They aren’t identical formulations, and there may be valid reasons to prefer one. But if the concern is the PLLA itself, that deserves explaining—because both products use it. Sculptra has been around for a VERY long time with piles of clinical studies and data to support - not the case for JULÄINE YET. If the preference comes down to differences in formulation, let’s discuss those differences and the evidence behind them. Simply dismissing one and celebrating the other doesn’t help patients make an informed choice. It starts to make me question the reasoning behind supporting one and not the other ? I’m open to introducing JULÄINE at Skinfolk as an addition and am aware of the different uses and areas it could bring to our treatment offerings . That doesn’t mean I need to talk down Sculptra—a treatment I continue to value in my practice. 💕 by @drchloebutler
Another Portugal 🇵🇹 trip come and gone with amazing friends and memories. It’s so nice to come back to QDL/VDL, see old clients and friends all in the familiarity of where I used to live. It feels so easy to slip back in yet still exciting at the same time. Seeing everything through fresh eyes puts a new perspective and enjoyment on it all. Whistlestop, non stop momentum. Now back on it for project Barnt Green 💚💙💕🇵🇹🇬🇧 by @drchloebutler
