Approximately 60% of term and 80% of preterm newborn babies will develop jaundice (yellowish discoloration) in the first week of life.
Did your baby have jaundice when they were born?

Ask me anything about jaundice in the comments below...

Akina mama, wewe ulimnyonyesha mtoto wako hadi alipofika umri gani? by @drdada.afya

Wewe likizo zako unaendaga wapi? 😊

teamLab Borderless Tokyo ni moja ya sehemu tulizo-enjoy sana kutembelea on our Japan vacation last month 😊. We tended to our inner child this whole day, went to a science museum after this 🤓

A must visit attraction when in Tokyo!

Mambo muhimu kwa wazazi kufahamu kuhusu kuharisha kwa watoto wadogo.

Ped Zinc na ORS ni first line treatment kwa mtoto anayeharisha, plus or minus antibiotics na dawa nyinginezo kulingana na dalili na sababu iliyosababisha mtoto kuharisha.

My trip to China in July.
We went for a training in common pediatric diseases in Tanzania, and there were 29 of us (last slide) including pediatricians, general doctors, nurses and pharmacists.
Everyday we had lectures delivered by experienced professors/doctors, some hands on training, and got to learn about China's health system, culture and their history.
We got to visit 2 children's hospitals in 2 different provinces.
Also got to experience the culture and food of 2 different cities. by @drdada.afya

✨️ Fever series 03 ✨️

Today we are looking at when can/should you give antipyretics - fever reducing medications to children 3 months and older with fever.
Also what can you do at home to help a child with fever.

Next I will talk about when to take a child with fever to the hospital, how to accurately measure the temperature using different kinds of thermometers and how to give paracetamol to a child with fever + dosage.

You can ask me anything questions you have in the comments.
