Always great to see how others transform Lacuna and make it their own! @lululemon did a fantastic job turning our indoor space into a spa like yoga studio and our outdoor courtyard into a sunlit cafe. What would you like to use Lacuna for? Reach out to @lacunaspacela and let’s discuss what your next event or photo shoot looks like. taken in West Adams, Los Angeles, California by @dre_design_

We had the best time visiting our dear friend @josephlapiana at his incredible studio yesterday. Joe is uber talented and prolific beyond belief. Each room of his studio holds work from different series over the years. One room he uses just to explain his process and materials. His work is impressive both aesthetically and conceptually. And then there’s the fact that he designed and gut renovated this house like nobody’s business. It’s stunning. What can’t he do! Love you to pieces Joe! And your sweet furry sidekick Riley 💙 by @dre_design_

Some inspiration highlights from a recent trip to Europe. Traveling to new places always gets my creative juices flowing in the best way. Copenhagen and Mallorca were on my bucket list for a long time and they didn’t disappoint! I love the juxtaposition of the old architecture with modern interior design. What’s your favorite? NEW BLOG! When Gia Met Smashbox: How our newest partnership came to be. Some of the best things in life happen when you just show up and are present. ✨

It all started because my badass friend @maryellenmatthewsnyc invited us to her book signing party and Q &A with #willferrell at @smashboxstudios. There we ran into friends @nancylmack and @chadsmithofficial. Nancy urged me to approach the locations director of Smashbox and the rest is history.

Big news: my first blog is live! It’s called LACUNA LOG

Post one is personal: “The Day I Stopped Waiting”. Suddenly losing my father when our house burned down, and the lesson that’s stuck with me ever since - life can be cut short, so go after your dreams. Don’t wait!!

I’ll be sharing the inside story behind Lacuna - including the hurdles of getting permits and building through Covid. Expect reflections on the collaborators I handpicked and our process working together, and what it’s taught me about starting a business with zero experience in the industry. Plus, my insight on what it really takes to bet on yourself and make it happen - the mindset, the risks, the doubts along the way.

Please check it out - you’ll find it under “Blog” on the Lacuna website. Link in bio here or at @lacunaspacela #eventspace #laphotoshoots #daylightstudio #followyourdreams #laeventvenue taken in West Adams by @dre_design_

Magic happens when a room full of people stops to really listen.

Last Sunday, @laaudiophile brought his intimate listening ritual to @lacunaspacela for the first time — an evening called ONZA. Together, we transformed the venue into something rare: a peaceful oasis in Los Angeles. The music flowed through Daniel’s full analog tube system — an exceptional hi-fi setup.

When we’re fully present, something shifts. We stop just hearing the notes and start noticing the silence between them. The texture. The breath. The resonance. Music stops being background and becomes something felt collectively — a room full of people willing to slow down and simply listen, with full attention.

Daniel led us on a curated musical journey — obscure gems from artists like Pink Floyd, Hermanos Gutierrez, Miles Davis, and Eva Cassidy. This was nothing close to a DJ set. This was intentional, immersive, and deeply felt.

If you weren’t there — you’ll want to be next time. Follow @lacunaspacela if you’re not already, and be among the first to know. Tag or share with the friends who’d love a night like this.

Thanks to everyone who joined us and helped make this evening possible.

Special thanks to @johnahmadrugs for the beautiful rugs that invited us to settle in, slow down, and surrender to the experience, and to @kate_kondratieva for capturing the evening so perfectly — some of her photos are woven through this reel.

✨ Lacuna is a boutique indoor-outdoor space in LA, built for gatherings just like this one. Got an idea for a dinner, a workshop, a celebration... the possibilities are endless. DM @lacunaspacela and let them bring it to life.

Thank you @angelenomagazine and @lauraecksteinjones for featuring @lacunaspacela and our Lacunafest event in print!
It was such a joy to fill the space with so much creative talent from every corner of LA’s art and design world. I built Lacuna as a home for other people’s events and shoots — but every so often, it’s the best kind of treat to produce one myself.
Huge thanks to our sponsors @signaturehw, @fergusonhomeofficial, and @gaggenauofficial for helping bring this event to life!
Curating the art show was a true highlight, featuring:
✨ @rogueandfox — a jaw-dropping, oversized floral sculpture spilling into the tub by @signaturehardware
✨ @oilandcharcoal — striking large-scale portraits
✨ @javieraestrada (repped by @artwolfgallery) — dreamy, abstract underwater florals
✨ @jeffmorrical — a dynamic origami wall sculpture and mobiles
✨ @lbjacot.studio — gorgeous, one-of-a-kind woodwork
Great tunes by @joel_marcus and agave from @mydizzydonkey
So grateful to this community of makers, and already looking forward to hosting more of you — your events, workshops, screenings, shoots, and everything in between. This space was made for it! taken in West Adams by @dre_design_

THANK YOU @marthastewart for sharing our Corona Del Mar project in the Pacific Palisades and my thoughts on seating arrangements. We love the “music room” in our client’s home shown in this photo. They entertain often in this room and the additional, flexible seating comes in handy for impromptu concerts and large gatherings. #interiordesign #interiors #furnitureplacement #homedecor #organicmodern #earthymodern #livingroomideas #livingroomdesign #livingroomstyle #interiorstyle #californiadesign #californiainteriors #californiamodern #interiordesignla taken in Pacific Palisades by @dre_design_
