Meet our little Saviour. 🤍🐾

For now, this tiny boy will remain right here with us for as long as he needs, while we do everything we possibly can to help him gain strength.

Please keep him in your prayers. 🙏 He is trying so incredibly hard, but the next few days are critical.

Saviour has finally started taking his feeds through a syringe and Miracle Nipple, although he can still struggle with the suck-and-swallow reflex, which means aspiration is a very real concern. Every feed has to be slow, controlled and carefully monitored.

The video was taken two days ago to show one of the ways we support puppies when hand-rearing. Using a syringe with a Miracle Nipple allows the amount taken to be measured accurately while encouraging a more natural suckling action.

For puppies who are extremely weak, unable to suck effectively or born with conditions such as a cleft palate, tube feeding can sometimes be lifesaving — but it should only be performed by someone who has been properly trained in the technique, as incorrect placement can have devastating consequences.

One thing I will always emphasise when supporting a newborn puppies is warmth before feeding. A chilled puppy should never simply be fed. Their body temperature must be safely restored first, because hypothermia significantly affects their ability to digest and utilise a feed.

Saviour is currently being supported in his incubator, keeping his environment carefully controlled while we concentrate on warmth, hydration, nutrition and conserving every bit of energy he has for growing stronger. 🤍

And this is another part of what happens behind the scenes that you don’t always see.

Alongside raising our own puppies, so much of my time is spent helping others — answering messages, sharing knowledge and supporting breeders and owners when a tiny life needs a little extra help.

If my experience can help save even one little life, that time will always be worth giving.

For now, our focus is entirely on this tiny fighter.

The presence of a dog, particularly when sharing close rest such as sleeping in your bed, has been shown to promote calm, reduce stress levels, and support emotional wellbeing.

Their steady breathing, warmth, and companionship naturally encourage relaxation within the body. 💭💤

Our puppies are raised within our home, experiencing closeness, routine, and comfort from birth. This early environment supports emotional regulation, reduces stress responses, and helps puppies transition more easily into family life including settling calmly at bedtime.

We recommend crate training as this provides emotional security first. Puppies raised in homes often settle best when crates are introduced gently and never used as isolation. Some puppies thrive with a crate; others feel safer with open access to their family, particularly at night. We are always here to support your journey…🤗🫶🏻🐾

October, you’ve given us so much to be grateful for. 🍂🤎

From the beautiful homes our babies have found to the tiny paws we’re preparing to welcome at the end of this month, our hearts are full. Thank you to every family who has trusted us and opened their hearts to a Dream Dachshunds baby. 🐾

One little gentleman has made this month extra special… our beautiful Hamish. 🤎

Welcoming him into our Dream Dachshunds breeding programme has been such a joy. He is an absolute dream, and these photographs honestly don’t do him justice. His beautiful coat, sweet expression and gentle nature have already stolen our hearts. I can see so much promise in him, and I’m incredibly excited to watch him grow.

And come on… who else is getting completely hooked on these little silky wire-haired Dachshunds?! Those extra furnishings, fluffy faces and little beards… I’m officially obsessed! 😍🐾

MONDAY MADNESS… a trip to Scotland and four more little paws! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🐾💙
When I say “this is the last one”… you’ve heard that before! 🤭😂

We’ve been a little quieter over the weekend, but behind the scenes it’s been anything but quiet! Puppies moving into the puppy room, an October clear-out, a few change-arounds… and a very exciting new arrival! 🧸✨

Today we travelled up to Scotland to collect another beautiful little boy to join our team. He’ll be part of our wire-haired and silky programme planned for summer 2027, and I cannot wait to introduce him properly! 💙

We’ve caught up with messages this evening—thank you for being patient while we’ve been juggling everything. 🫶🏼

Our December books are officially closed, but we’re now taking enquiries for puppies ready to leave in January and February 2027. We’re hoping for beautiful creams, silver dapples and cream brindles… what a way to start the new year! 🤍🐾✨

Her mum is counting down the days until she’s home, and she has a sister waiting to welcome her too! 🍂✨

A little update from us—apologies if you’re waiting for a reply! It’s been a busy couple of days behind the scenes, getting our puppies ready to leave at the end of this month, booking vaccinations and keeping their families updated.

Today we’re having an October clear-out and getting everything organised after all the work we’ve had done, so I’ll hopefully be catching up on messages this evening. 🤎

We’ve also decided to close deposits for our December litters. We’re mindful of the reservations we already have and don’t want to disappoint anyone. Thank you to everyone who has reserved with us! 🤍

We can still accept deposits for litters after December. We have three beautiful pairings to look forward to, with two pregnancies already confirmed! We’re hoping to welcome miniature cream brindles, silver dapples and clear creams. These will be black-based rather than chocolate-based. ✨🐾

🤎🧸 Teddy Bear Thursday at Dream Dachshunds 🧸🤎

We’ve been keeping a little secret… two beautiful new Dachshunds will be joining our family! A boy and a girl, chocolate of course, with a little cream involved. 🤍

Our new boy will hopefully be ready to join our breeding programme in summer 2027, while our little lady will have plenty of time to grow and mature before her own chapter begins.

We’re very excited to be working towards our first litter of chocolate dapple silky wire-haired “teddy bears” in 2027… not forgetting our much-anticipated cream brindles! 🐾

Tuesday thoughts… choosing kindness, protecting our peace and remembering what matters 🤎🐾

We’ve been a little quieter these past couple of days. Some hurtful accusations and untrue comments have knocked me. When you put so much of yourself into your dogs, it’s difficult to read things that paint a completely different picture of your life and the care you give them.

We’ve always been open about our puppies, including worrying moments and veterinary investigations. Being a responsible breeder doesn’t mean never facing a health concern; it means taking concerns seriously, seeking veterinary support and being honest along the way.

Those who know me know my life revolves around these dogs. I’m not currently working in my veterinary nursing role because I’m home caring for them. Away from the camera are the feeds, cleaning, sleepless nights and worrying over the smallest changes.

That care extends beyond our puppies. I’ve helped breeders and families with little ones struggling to feed, supporting them until they’re strong enough to return to mum. If you’ve come to me for help, you’ll know how much that means to me. 🤍

Then moments like this with Marnie remind me why I love what I do.

Our Grandma Hubbard, affectionately known as “the child snatcher,” is the soul of our little family. 🥹 Watching her welcome the puppies and play with them while their mums enjoy a break is beautiful. So much love in one little dog.

We’re here, we’re okay, and the puppies are being loved and cared for as always. I’ve just needed a little breathing space. Maybe it’s October madness… Halloween must be getting to everyone! 😂🎃 “October Madness” felt like a fitting soundtrack for this reel!

I know I don’t have to explain myself endlessly, but your trust matters to me. To everyone who has visited, welcomed one of our babies home or simply been kind—thank you. You’ve seen the heart behind this page.

A little red dream, a couple of years in the making… ❤️🐾

We’re so excited to be continuing Ariel’s lineage through the beautiful girl we kept back, paired with Hunter, our red dapple boy who joined us a couple of years ago. Watching these plans come together means so much to us. 🥹

We’re hoping for beautiful long-haired reds and red dapples from our Russian lines, with those gorgeous, deep red shades we absolutely love. ❤️

Both parents have lovely temperaments, with mum weighing 4.7kg and dad 5.4kg—a beautiful pair, and we can’t wait to meet their little ones.

With the babies due in just under two weeks, the countdown is officially on! We’re so excited to share them with you. 🐶✨
