Alaska is not a sightseeing trip. It's an experience trip... and the gap between a good one and an unforgettable one comes down to the cruise line you're sailing with, which ports, which excursions, and where you leave room to just stand there and take it in.

I'm sailing Alaska with my own Travel With Me group, Getaway: Alaska, this September... and this list is the research that sailing was built on. I didn't pick this ship, willy-nilly... I didn't pick Alaska from Vancouver just because...

I just told you Alaska will ruin other vacations for you. And I mean that as a compliment. 😍

Here’s the truth most people don’t hear until they’re standing on the deck… Alaska isn’t a sightseeing trip. It’s an experience trip. And the difference between a good one and one you’ll talk about for the rest of your life comes down entirely to which ports, which excursions, and where you leave room to just stand there and take it in.

This September I’m sailing it myself, alongside my own Travel With Me group. Building this sailing meant going deep on every detail… Glacier Bay (the day that changes people), the whale watching out of Juneau, the White Pass railroad in Skagway, and the September secret almost nobody books for… fall color, fewer crowds, and a real shot at the northern lights.

I’m serious. Before you put a deposit down on anything, read this.

Prices online are not fixed. They move daily. Sometimes multiple times a day. The rate you see at 9am may not exist at 9pm.

And- Group pricing works differently than individual pricing. Multigenerational trips have room category nuances most people don’t know about until it’s too late.
And no, the online checkout page is not going to tell you any of that.

This is exactly what I do. I watch the market for you. I know when to move and when to wait. I protect your dates before someone else takes them.

The one thing you should know, if you don’t already, nothing, I mean NOTHING, is locked in until deposit! From when I send the proposal to whe you’re ready to deposit, it could have changed (and likely had).

This is why I say over and over-contact me for a consultation when you are deposit ready so that we can lock in those proposal prices as quick as possible.

Seriously though… private black car service is the TOP luxe “flex” that really doesn’t add that much more investment into your vacation and is completely worth every penny of interest gained!

While so many scream for Beach Club Resort…. Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is really the better room.
This resort has rich colours.
An amazing Nautical feel,
Has numerous restaurants,
The rooms FEEL extra luxe,
All the while still having all the same benefits as Beach Club Resort with the amazing Storm A Long Bay pool,
Quick walking or boat access to EPCOT and boat, walking or Skyliner access to Hollywood Studios,
making it the PERFECT resort to call home during your Disney vacation.

You NEED to be at your Gate BEFORE your flight time.

A family just arrived at the gate, at the time their flight was. Upset because the flight said it was at 1045am, but your flight is to be taking off on the tarmac at 1045am.

For being a @flyfrontier flight, they didn’t have to reschedule her at all as they don’t cover missed flights. But they did AND ensured they were all sitting in together.

Get to your gate at LEAST 45mins before your flight time. And for an airport you don’t know or is massive like @atlairport you have to give even more time!

Between security, the train, how massive each of the terminals are…. You need time!!

You are always better to arrive early than “just on time”.

One more time for the people in the back, your flight time is not the time to arrive at your gate. Get there at least 45mins before.
