Book Review: Killers Of A Certain Age by Deanna Raybourn QoTD: How would you like to celebrate your retirement? Genre: Mystery, Thriller, Crime Trigger Warnings: Violence, Murder, Grief, Death of Spouse Stars: 4/5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Review: The Killers of a Certain Age by Deanna Raybourn was recommended to me ages ago and I regret not reading it sooner. It’s not at all my usual genre but I highly enjoyed it! This story takes you on a thrilling adventure as four retired assassins are relaxing on their all expense paid vacation to mark their retirement. They happened to discover they are marked in a much different way! It is an enjoyable mystery as you follow their journey to figure out why, using all their skills they have developed over the years. I enjoyed the humor and camaraderie between the characters. The flashbacks to their previous missions was a nice way to expand the story. #bookreview #bookrecs #bookdragon #killersofacertainage #readmorebooks by @dreamers_reads

10 Before the End QoTD: Anything you are trying to read before the end of the year? Well I’m trying this again! Did I read my 10 Before the End last year? No. Was I close? Not at all. I’ve read 3 of the 10 from that list and one I literally finished last week 🤣 I feel like I have a book commitment issue. I say I’m going to read something next/soon, suddenly, I don’t and I desperately want to read something else 🤣 Mood reader problems. I feel like trying to attempt it once again! Wish me luck! 10 Before the End Books: - Good Spirits by B.K. Borison I enjoyed First-Time Caller and hear so many good things about this and the next boon Grim Tidings! - The Someday Garden by Ashley Poston I read someone’s review and it sounded really interesting! I’m waiting for the library copy to become available to listen too! - Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter by Heather Fawcett I love Emily Wilde’s so excited to try another one of her books! - The Faraway Inn by Sarah Beth Durst Another author I love ❤️. It sounds like a cozy YA book that I can relax and enjoy. - Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross This series has been on my TBR for a long time. I even had this in my 10 Before the End last year and hoping to not still have this series on my 10 Before the End next year. - The Pirate Queen by Ariel Lawhon This sounds fascinating and the area is from my family came from! And it’s one of my local bookstore book club picks so I’m going to try to read it and join! The owners also recommend to me that i should listen as I read it too! - Katabasis by R.F. Kuang I started it, paused it, and it was on my list last year too! - One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig Another book club pick but from a group I joined on here with and going to read together this month with Fable! - Somewhere beyond the Sea by TJ Klune Another series that has been on my TBR list forever but I read the first book just a few weeks ago! - The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakrborty This looks fun and was recommended in r/Fantasy for completing the Bingo challenge too! #readmorebooks📚 #tenbeforetheendchallenge #tbrlist #bookdragon by @dreamers_reads
