Part 3/3

An art maze is a medium in which the distinction between the artists and the visitors dissolves. In the maze, everyone can be part of the art.

Once you enter, you are in the reality of the Maze, until you exit back. Maze art often aims to transform the room it takes place in, so you may feel like you are within art, roaming around inside a painting or maybe in a video game.

As one goes through this Alice-In-Wonderland-like realm, the perception within the Maze can bring up strong emotions or stimulate out-of-the-box thoughts of new neural pathways. As you walk, crawl & climb through different rooms, countless emotions may surge through your veins within the out-of-this-world reality of a Maze.

Be aware, you may get lost within the Maze, or you may find yourself… but don’t you worry or be weary, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Follow the unknown path and let your curiosity flourish.

Deeper inside the Maze

Part 2/3

Dreamer’s Maze
a living organism
breathes, listens, and responds.

Each room is an organ,
pulsing with its own rhythm,
yet connected to the whole.

Some rooms are curious,
some shy, some mischievous,
some deeply emotional.

The maze grows stranger
the deeper you go.
It learns. It mutates. It remembers.

Visitors are not just observers, but stimuli.
Their presence feeds the creature.
Their choices shape its form.

It is an alien entity
of intuition, feedback, and transformation
alive with hidden logic, heartbeat, and hunger.

Dreamer’s Maze is coming back to Borderland, 20-26 July 2026!

Last year, more than 100 people helped turn an existing three-floor villa in Sweden into an immersive, interactive art maze.

15+ rooms. Different artists. Secret passages. Strange corners. Hidden little worlds.
