🌟Introducing DREAMHAUS’ Inaugural Intern Class!🌟

This year’s DREAM Team came together, trekking into the studio from different corners of Los Angeles, the country, and the rest of the world.

Each week of the internship, we ask ourselves the question: WHO AM I TODAY? And with each time we answer, we start to see a bit more clearly: who we are becoming, and what we were made to do as budding young creatives and dreamers.

We’re only getting started. Stay tuned to to see how Cohort 001 moves and makes their mark through the DREAMHAUS experience all summer long.

Join us for our Wellness Fair filled with movement, fun, and community connection on May 30th from 10:00am–12:00pm!

Enjoy a yoga session, energetic salsa dancing, a bouncy jumper, free haircuts, free food and coffee, and explore valuable resources from local health service providers.

We will also celebrate the grand opening of Vox Peak ⛰️ , our newly designed wellness room made possible through our incredible partnership with @dreamhausla . Get a firsthand look at the space and experience how it was thoughtfully created to help students reset, recharge, and feel renewed.

Co-founded by Otis College alums Nikkolos Mohammed (’13 BFA Fine Arts; @honorablemohammed) and Mike Reesé (’13 BFA Comm Arts; @Mikereesay), @DREAMHAUSLA is a nonprofit arts organization that provides creative programming and supplies to schools and communities in Central Los Angeles. This summer, they partnered with the Black Creatives Institute and FirstGen First Flight to offer engaging programs that encouraged creativity and reflection. by @dreamhausla

3 years ago, almost to the day, we wrote down a working title (last slide) for a world we could only imagine the DREAMHAUS process looks and feels like. What started as a vision has grown into our escape, a place to express the colorful emotions that mirror everyday life.

This world has become our language, our way of connecting across people and gratefully, it resonates—disarming and inviting others to make it their own and to make it their playground too.

As a small group of creatives with a community of other creatives and entrepreneurs — there’s always something going on here. If you’re like us, it can get cumbersome to post and show proof of life just so ya’ll know things are always being worked on — with our individual practices AND as a unit. As a mindful practice, we’re documenting our every day snippets in the studio and hard launched it on our #TikTok so if you’ve been curious or just want to watch relaxing process videos, you can find us there 💫 by @dreamhausla

Our Creative Director @sumaan is on the panel “She Creates: Women in the Creative Industry” on Thursday, October 24th @otiscollege The Forum from 7-8pm. It’ll be an incredible night of sharing and it’s OPEN to the public 🌟 See you there!

Hosted by Otis College Office of DEIB & Career Services: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) are key to making sure women’s voices and ideas are heard and valued in their fields. When design spaces are truly inclusive, it allows for more innovative, diverse, and impactful work.

This project was supported by @cpcacreativecorps @calartscouncil @muse1971 for the creative grant opportunity to support this project intended to serve.🙌🏾🙏🏾

Understanding the critical role that artists play in movement building, Community Partners launched the CA Creative Corps in January 2023 to support 33 artists from Los Angeles and Orange Counties who work at the intersections of social change.

These artists are community members, storytellers, bridge makers, and imagineers connecting the power of culture with efforts that center community solutions.

@dreamhausla presented the launch of “The Road To Lost Emotions” the thrilling evolution of the DREAMHAUS Art Car. This new Mobile Immersive Experience invites participants to dive into “The World’s Playground of Lost Emotions”, encountering captivating explorations across the car’s interior and exterior. Our renowned “Who Am I Today?” activity is now more interactive than ever in this cutting-edge 360° excursion. Please join us to experience this transformative journey and take home a unique souvenir to commemorate your reflective adventure.
