GAME 2 🆚 Vicky Park Vickings

Second game of the season, and the boys are off to a strong start after winning the opener of this new campaign. There’s no room for errors now the focus is clear, pushing for the league title.

Can they make it two wins from two and take six points from a possible six?

London Ballerz have had to look into the academy due to a few injuries, but that doesn’t change the mindset going into this match. The objective remains the same stay focused, deliver a strong performance, and secure all three points.

GAME 1 🆚 ATHLETICO LV

The first league game of the season has arrived, and expectations are sky high. All eyes are on the boys as they take to the pitch, ready to make a statement. Marcelo and Rodney know they have to set the tone early, this season is about one thing only winning the league.

There’s pressure, but this is a team built to carry it. Stronger, sharper, and more determined than ever, the boys are focused on turning last season’s setbacks into success. With new faces in the squad and a renewed sense of purpose, the belief within the camp is clear.

Now it’s time to deliver. The journey begins with this opening game, a chance to lay down a marker for the season ahead. Watch how the boys get on as they take their first step toward the ultimate goal.

🏆 STRATFORD LEAGUE CHAMPIONS (AGAIN) 🏆

After our title streak was broken last season, the goal was simple: restore the order and get the title back.

Opening night suggested business as usual. Red Dragons were dispatched comfortably and confidence was high. Then reality arrived quickly.

First a narrow 2–1 loss to Fuego. Frustrating, but survivable.

The following week was not. Guapos handed us a 6–0 defeat that dismantled a side long proud of its defensive stubbornness. As we left the pitch, Brook helpfully informed us they were already six points clear and had perhaps finally got the better of us.

The response was not tightening the screws, it was the opposite. A 10–2 win over UTFP was a shot of confidence in the arm that we could recover.

Brook next. As always, a feisty match settled by a composed finish from new arrival Harry that dragged us back into the race. With the door now cracked open, Wentworth kicked it in.

7–2.
9–1.
6–1.
14–0.

Suddenly the team written off weeks earlier was playing its best football in years, powered by the mercurial Freddy and a growing list of attacking options.

With two games remaining, the decider came down to Brook yet again.

With mainstays Ben W, Phil and Liam absent, reinforcements arrived in Grant and Ricky. A draw would keep control thanks to goal difference. Two minutes in, Brook led 2–0 thanks to two comical own goals.

With the title looking to be slipping away, Freddy began the rescue with a trademark solo effort. Then cometh the man, comets the Stan with a long-range strike. Finally Freddy struck again to complete a comeback he later called Wentworth’s finest twenty minutes.

By the final fixture, Brook had done what Brook tend to do under pressure and crumbled like a biscuit in tea. With the title already secured, we signed off with a calm 5–1 win.

Fittingly, Brook did finish six points clear of us… just not in the way they expected.

Not our most dominant season, nor our most comfortable. Probably our most important in re-establishing the status quo.
I’m an ever changing division 2, Royals are still finding their feet, but with a new season comes renewed hope of a promotion push.
