Grow in intimacy.

With everything that is going on today, I encourage my fellow believers to stop checking off boxes and start being genuine in the presence of God. Stop mistaking behavioral modification for spiritual transformation. Look at Jesus as ABBA too.

Grow in your love for him & stop just doing things out of obligation but instead pray for a genuine desire to please him.

The real transformation is from the inside. This cannot be fabricated. Anxiety and fear of “getting it wrong” or being judged, looking like the “perfect” Christian will only breed external works that bear no fruit.

Get in your word. Ask him questions. Be vulnerable and honest with Him. Keep that child like faith. Ask God for a softened heart. Find that one thing that’s you and God’s (mine is journaling). This is a relationship, treat it as such.

Ask yourself this:

Do I love God enough to let him be Lord over my life?

Meaning, am I willing to let go of the things that put him second. Do I check in with God before making decisions? Am I considering God in all my decisions?

Yea I had an idea of what life was supposed to look like but if God instructs me to release things in order to be more like his son, am I willing or dismissing?

If truth says to not partake in darkness [colossians 3:10], am I overlooking this command because of my desires?
Am ignoring convictions and reasoning with sin?

The more we choose what the flesh wants, the more distance we create between God.

Life is passing away, eternity is forever.

Romans 12:2

Pain in purpose.

Been a minute..

As God has been refining every part of me (and I mean EVERY), there are moments where I felt the fire was too hot. These moments came packaged with warfare, grief, weariness as I continued to wrestle. Wrestling with the idea that once was, cannot be. Death to habits. Death to thought patterns. Death to self.

The more I continue in obedience, the more needed to be released. The version of myself I once believed in, doesn’t have a seat at the table that’s being prepared and I can no longer keep trying to include her.

As the reality of this walk becomes clear, my dependence on God grows. Even as I grieve the parts I tried to keep, I find great joy in the woman he’s creating me to be.

I’ve come to realize that through suffering, the free gifts of peace, grace, rest (and so much more) are far more meaningful. Especially when you really are living a submitted life.

Nevertheless, living for God ain’t easy but the goodness of God will manifest itself even greater amidst the pain.

After all,

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬ ‭

Live life for Christ.

You been telling yourself you want to deepen your relationship and get more serious with your walk but your desires sound louder and feel more comfortable. It’s like you’re in between this pull of commitment but maybe fear, doubt, etc is holding you back from fully pursuing..

Well sis, let me tell you something.. The more you go with Holy Spirit pushing you to spend time with him vs YOU, the more power you’ll have over temptation!

Don’t let the enemy do his big one on you, instead turn to the one who’s looking to free you from everything that’s been keeping you in bondage.

Truth is the more we dismiss our issues, the bigger it gets and the more in consumes you. That habit/mindset has affected every aspect of your life ENOUGH. It’s time to BREAK it.

Before letting your offense take over I encourage you to FIRST pray and ask God to soften your heart and ask for clarity. SECOND open Jeremiah and just study it. THIRD bring all your Greek life documents + practices to the front and read it side by side with the word of God. If you’re looking to join D9 and you’re Christian, this is what comes with it.

Obedience is so that you learn what it means to submit to God.

Each instruction followed, unlocks a new level of faith.

The willingness to obey provides provision for your heart and purification in your intent. It shows that he’s more important than what you’re chasing.

That at the end of the day, your priority still is him.

And being in this position will completely change your life. Just watch what God does 💯

Jesus first time sending his disciples out to spread a message and he said these words:

“When you are arrested, don’t worry about how to respond or what to say. God will give you the right words at the right time. For it is not you who will be speaking—it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.”

He also told them to be “shrewd as a snake and as gentle as a dove”

We see here that Jesus intends for us to give the good news with wisdom on how to maneuver the conversation or situation while also being gentle.

We also know that the Holy Spirit gives us perfect wisdom and knows all that’s needed in the moment. This is why it’s so important to depend on the Holy Spirit and leave the pressure to him.

After all, the Lord is the one who does the saving while we plant or water.

As long as we are leading with the Holy Spirit and love in our heart, the message will get across in the way it’s supposed to!
