We’re happy to celebrate Dreez Cox on an incredible milestone. 🤩

Dreez has landed the leading role in two short films, Benny and Karmann, both selected for the 2026 Cannes Film Festival Industry Screening Program.

Karmann has already made a strong impact, winning the 2025 “Yes We Cannes” competition for Best Film, along with awards for Best Cinematography, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Director, and the Audience Award.

“A few years ago, I played a role in a short film where I (sorry again) killed the amazing @susannemiddelberg with a brick. What I didn’t know back then, was that she was one of the best portrait photographers in the Netherlands.

Now, years later, I needed new casting photos — and reached out to her. This time, no role, just me. Bald, strong, tattooed, and finally confident enough to show that on camera. Even though tattoos are still seen as taboo in the industry, it was important for me to show up as I am.

And wow — she captured me in a way no one has before. These shots are golden. Go check out her page — she’s incredible.

Dreez Cox

Een paar jaar geleden speelde ik een kleine rol in een prachtige korte film. Dreez speelde een van twee broers die mij doodde door een baksteen tegen mijn hoofd aan te gooiden. Wij hebben elkaar echter nooit op de set ontmoet. Nu heb ik Dreez eindelijk in het echt mogen ontmoeten. Hij kwam uit Antwerpen om castingfoto’s door mij te laten maken. Het was een eer om hem te fotograferen. Dreez is een multitalent. Hij acteert, regisseert. Hij maakt muziek. En hij is een heel warm en inspirerend persoon. Zoek hem op: @dreeznuts by @dreeznuts
