959(Make It) • September 20th

Feels like both an honor & privilege to type this. I grew up watching everyone on this song live out their wildest dreams, both fearless & unapologetic every step of the way. To stand next to them in life as well as on this record, spiritually, feels like a full circle moment… a dream come true if you will.

For all I can say, the music likely sums it up better. Whether you call it an ode, a love letter, a declaration.. just be sure to call this what it actually is: REPRESENTATION.

We all know what they’ve said about CT, but here lies the thoughts & proclamations of those on the front lines, engaged in the communities everyone claims to serve. The ones who shift culture rather than project it. I’m tired of hearing our story told by those uninvolved & unaffected. We plant this flag in honor of anyone contributing to what Hartford has the power to be, never mind those loud about what it isn’t.

Thank you to everyone who made this moment possible.

9/20, we live baby 💙💚 taken in Hartford, Connecticut by @dregottheblues
