A month ago, Dyson released the Camera jet, the worlds most expensive toothbrush

As I set out in my reel, I applaud the innovation in dentistry

but this was too complicated and too expensive

Just 2 weeks later it gets recalled

After multiple issues with it not working and water getting into the battery

Ever since, patients are asking me:

“The Dyson brush is in Selfridges and John Lewis do I have to spend that much to get the best toothbrush?”

The answer is no.

Stick to the Oral-B IO followed by using floss or @tepeuk between your teeth

And regular hygienist appointments

When the Dyson comes back, remember you do NOT need to spend £420 on a toothbrush taken in Oxford Circus by @dremmalaing

10 year before and after Orthodontics

As an Orthodontist my inbox gets flooded with new enquires of how long will treatment take, ChatGPT says it’ll be quick 🤦‍♀️

Everyone including myself have got used to expecting an Amazon prime timeframe

But improving your natural teeth does not happen overnight especially as an adult

In 2016 this patient asked me “Dr Emma can you help with my reverse bite without jaw surgery?”

The answer was yes, with braces, no surgery and no teeth being removed.

It took time but the results last - he has two retaining wires and has since had minimal dentistry in 10years.

He hasn’t worn his removable retainers which doesn’t work for everyone but here the reverse bite correction holds itself.

When a patient comes in and all we talk about at reviews is our kids growing up too fast it’s a great feeling that both they and I have done our best to get to this point! ✨

If you want a quick fix then see some of my amazing cosmetic dentist colleagues, see what they can do, and ask how long it will last too

Thank you to this patient for kindly consenting for me showing your case🙏 taken in Harley Street by @dremmalaing
