I have so many words for this past year…

A year ago now I left behind everything in Colorado and moved to Nashville to pursue full time freelance. And let me tell you how the experiences I have had are nothing short of extraordinary. I have met so many incredible people and gone to so many crazy places. I could go on for hours about it all but I’ll stop here for now.

The greatest way to sum it all up is I’m so thankful to be where I am, in the moment I am there. by @dreshriver

First quarter of 2026!

First: Worked hard! Met cool new people! Went to cool places!

Second: Rested well! Actually got to enjoy my place of residence for once! And actually got to share it with my parents for a week!

God is good!!!

5th Despo on staff in the books. Every year it’s the reset. The big milestone that is planned for, striven for, and prayed for, months in advance. This year was no exception.

I watched my team give it their all this year. Days of work, weeks of planning, creating, learning. I want them to be recognized for their hard work.

As always you give us clear direction that always comes from a place of prayer and meditation. A listening heart to the will of the Lord. The direction that never fails to effectively walk that fine line between the enhancement of the worship experience and distraction. Every step made, every fixture placed with intentionality, care, and God given creativity. You do it all and immediately give the credit back to its source with a humble heart and spirit.

The selfless sacrifice of your time, your mind, and your heart was so humbling to watch. I watched you give it all you had to study and learn a completely new element. Your mind is such a gift. You learned so much and put it to effective use so quickly it blows my mind. You pulled off what neither of us could have. Without you, our addition to this conference would not have been nearly as amazing as it was. Your hard work and effort is so appreciated.

Thank you both so much for your hard work and diligence in your craft. It’s an honor to work along side you both.

The past two years have been absolutely insane and some of the fastest, craziest years of my life. @scott_lebeau all I can say is thank you for taking me on when I had no knowledge whatsoever of the lighting world.
