Oh, how I've missed doing pin-up stuff...it's been years and I had to scratch this itch. Got to finally use some fantastic photo reference I grabbed from ArtStation - money really well spent. Fingers crossed I don't get too distracted and actually finish this bad girl sooner rather than later.

This is about an hour compressed to 20 sec. Plain pencil on A4 paper.

Some zombie #batman doodling - maybe too much green but whatever, Bruce Wayne is spoiled rotten anyway.
Inks and acrylics, about 45 minutes

Getting ready for a really busy work week so I'm getting into a #hellraiser kind of mood - here's a little #cenobite action to wrap up the day. Inks and acrylic paint on toned paper, just over an hour all in.

Thanks for watching:)

Tonight's doodle - for some reason I wanted to do something with a gas mask, so here you go. Also remembered I have a nib pen, next one I'll have to ink more with it, the variable line weight is really cool.

Thanks for watching, more to come :)

Quick #spawn pencil and ink sketch for tonight's warm-up. I think this guy is going to need a touch of paint to really bring out the volume. I initially started doing the wrapped costume like in the movie but quickly realized I was just doing random lines, so I had to bust out the toothbrush and create some chaotic textures to bring it all together. The red pencil wasn't the best idea either.. live and learn I suppose:)

Figuring out the brain texture and some ink work in my #marsattacks sketch. I used alcohol markers to block in the mid tone shadows, which wasn't the best idea. I should have stuck to ink washes, but whatever, I'll clean it up with paint. ack!

Happy with how this is coming together:)

I must confess... I LOVE Mars Attacks!
The Martian character design is pure genius and it's been years since I drew one of these guys, so it seemed like a perfect subject for my next doodle. Going a lot tighter with this one so I'll probably do it over a few sittings, or maybe a live stream?

Anyways, here's the rough pencil sketch.. I'm dreading working out all the shapes in the brain, I'll figure it out :)

I really should get back to actual projects, but I'm having too much fun with these random loose ink and paint doodles.. here's my take on the Absolute Mr Freeze. I didn't find too many official images of this guy but it looks like he's more of a cross between a vampire and a GOT Frost giant? I don't really know but it's cool. I did some light airbrushing afterwards to add some white glows, though I didn't film that part :(

This is just over an hour's worth of sketching. Pencils, inks and acrylics in my toned paper #sketchbook

I guess there will be more to come, thanks for watching as always.

More random sketchbook doodling. I'm starting to really dig the heavy inks, and splatter is always fun.. so here's a #zombie sketch - all in about an hour start to finish.

The toned paper takes incredibly well to acrylic glazes with very minimal warping (matte medium not water) going to need to do a few more of these.

Just having fun, thanks for watching:)

I guess this is my take on Sally fro Nightmare before Christmas? Need to do something with the eyes to bring it all together, but for a random 60 minute sketch & paint she'll have to do. I promise I'll get back to the superhero stuff soon, just need to scratch an itch for a bit lol.

Inks, acrylic paints etc...
