For real. I don’t think I knew what to expect, I tell my clients all the time I’m not scared of 40, it’s just weird? Like…how did we get here? My husband took this picture and I realized I didn’t feel like I needed to edit anything. No “I wish this looked this way”… I was just okay with this photo, which is probably the first time in my life I’ve felt that way. And it’s not just physical, the culmination of all of my experiences, good choices, bad choices, STUPID choices over the past 20 years has shaped me into the most capable version of myself, and it feels good. It’s not all easy, I still don’t know what to do sometimes, but I DO know I can figure it out (even if I only get to that point after worrying and questioning and putting myself through hell… Im working on it okay?) So anyway, here’s to all the good and bad and in between and knowing no matter what you’ll learn from it 🥂

I don’t expect you to know exactly what you want. It’s literally my job to help you figure it out. We don’t rush through consultations. I make sure we have a plan before we get started. 🧡

I don’t assume I know what you want. We are going to look at photos, I have an image board saved if you need it, dont stress. We are going to make sure my understanding of “bangs” is the same as yours lol…🧡

I don’t care if you washed your hair or not. For a full haircut appointment, we’re gonna wash it anyway, seriously not a big deal. If you’re coming in for a dry maintenance cut or extension services it can be a little different. Not because I’m grossed out, I just need the hair to fall naturally when doing a dry cut - it’s tough if the hair is on day 3-4+. 🧡

I don’t film or take photos without your consent. I actually have a pre-appointment form that lets you say no before you even get to my chair , so you don’t fee pressure to say yes.🧡

I don’t judge you for what products or shampoo you use. It’s not about that, it’s about what works for you, if you’re struggling with certain things, etc… I’ll give you recommendations if you want them.🧡

I don’t force you to talk to me during the whole appointment. Silence sometimes comes naturally and that is OKAY. You can be still and quiet the whole appointment if you want. The whole point is to take care of you. 🧡

I don’t work in a loud overstimulating environment. I’m super sensitive to sound personally, and I don’t want you to feel agitated or nervous. Salon’s music stays pretty chill, the energy is happy but not overwhelming. I also don’t have conversations with other stylists while you’re in my chair, unless we’re all just being funny and vibing obviously. But it doesn’t feel like a hangout you aren’t a part of. 🧡

🗣️ PLEASE DO NOT let a hairstylist tell you that you can’t have a certain haircut or that it wouldn’t look good on you. It’s my job to make it look good on you. Okay? You can have baby bangs, you can have a shag, you can have a micro bob, you can get a mullet, you can have a butterfly cut, or long layers, or a wolf cut or literally WHATEVER YOU WANT. I don’t even know all the haircut names y’all are using but show me a picture and we’ll get there.
