In spite of gloomy weather last night that inhibited travel for some, the Mustang Winter Geezerpalooza was a delight as Bill Ruff, Doug Hayes, Julius Engel, Bill Kenny, Mike Lepic, Mark Kostelny, Henry Kramer, Greg Couch and I gathered once again to rehash the glory of our athletic prowess from high school days. We all agreed that the older we get, the better we were! by @drevdad

Cannot beat Chain O’ Lakes on a lazy Wednesday afternoon. Not a single boat. And the tree canopy keeps our deck amazingly cool on even the hottest days. Ahhh, the joys of lake life! by @drevdad

To have a single friendship that spans over 50 years is a rare gift. To have an entire group of friends for more than half a century is a freakin’ miracle. The 2022 Summer Mustang Geezerpalooza brought together this gang of old, and I mean old, highschool teammates for a long weekend up in Fox Lake. Lots of laughs and memories, real and embellished. Way too many calories. And spectacular lake life weather. Thanks to Mike Brennolt, Bill Ruff, Doug Hayes, Julius Engel, Rockie Ziegler, Greg Couch and Gary Swick making us all feel young (ish) again. See you all in December, and again next summer. by @drevdad

Well, our numbers were down this year due to noble caretaking, threatening highway winds and general age-induced lack of inertia (aka "old fartness"). But Julius Engel, Doug Hayes. Bill Ruff, Mark Kostelny, Greg Couch and I carried the banner for the Mustang Winter Geezerpalooza. It’s truly special to hang with guys we’ve known for 50 years and more! High school friends and teammates. Some went to grade school together! Warm remembrances and cold beverages filled the evening, with the occasional sick burn served up at the expense of those who did not join us. We’ll all hopefully reunite at the Mustang Summer Geezerpalooza, TBD. Have a great Christmas and New Year! by @drevdad
