La cifra della DREAMWAVE è, in effetti, un certo tipo di transustanziazione culturale: i modelli vengono acquisiti e superati, all’interno di uno schema orientato a produrre una musica simulacrale.
Ma proprio in questo suo essere simulacro, spettro di una se stessa originaria e originale, la frontiera Dreamwave si colloca in quella terra di mezzo tra sogno e trauma (che, non a caso, in tedesco si dicono nello stesso modo: Traum).

Fra gli interstizi e le intercapedini di questi suoni possiamo dunque intravvedere in maniera abbastanza distinta il vuoto sociale di questi anni. L’unico e solo immaginario di riferimento, infatti, è quello dell’infanzia (canzoni, film, immagini, personaggi, icone, oggetti, balli, tagli di capelli, abiti, veicoli).
Remoto, scomparso, evaporato.
Un fondamento al tempo stesso molto concreto, e molto fantasmatico.

La DREAMWAVE agisce nel subconscio. È arte che ti fa piangere. Solletica i ricordi di quando eri bambino negli Anni Ottanta, e le cose sembravano così ordinate e pulite e colorate.
