Kauai wedding highlight reel at Kalihiwai waterfall. Because we chose an elopement wedding, we wanted to make sure all of our friends and family who wanted to see our ceremony would have the chance to - so we hired a really cool, very talented videographer from Hanalei, Kauai (Ikaika Pidot) to capture our ceremony, which I will upload soon. Here is the highlight reel from the ceremony he sent to us today 😊.

The setting at Kalihiwai Falls in Kauai, along with Shauna’s beauty and the significance of our day, implementing a Celtic hand fasting ritual, our vows and personal sentiments to each other, reciting respective Rumi poems, and having our kids present along with an additional family unity piece in the ceremony to integrate them - all rendered me without words for a couple of weeks now. While words still aren’t sufficient - the best I could do was try to capture it by putting together the images I have right now…and to describe it this way — for me I felt so energetically immersed in the beauty of the place, our moments, and the whole experience that I felt something similar to an out of body experience (the result of a an accident induced near death experience)I had just a few months before meeting Shauna. I can only describe it as total wholeness, Oneness, perfect bliss so all encompassing that I felt completely dissolved and yet absolutely present at the same time. My heart field felt so expanded that it all felt like a waking or lucid dream. Shauna’s sincere and heartfelt words melted me into oblivion, an altered state I’m just now coming to terms with ❤️🌺😀 Still existing in a state of overwhelming and unrelenting gratitude. taken in 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay by @drew_mackey77

Pro tip: functional athletic movements like this give high bang for the buck. Med ball core rotations are a dynamic, powerful movement that engage multiple muscle groups and get your heart rate elevated too. Acceleration and deceleration are fantastic components for strength, endurance, and teaching your body how to protect itself in vicarious positions. Just start light and work your way up. Usually I land between 15 and 25 reps per side. This is a 25 pound med ball. If you’re just starting try 8-10 lbs. this is one of my favorite exercises for the core of all time… feel free to hit me up If you need any other tips on form, and want to try it. by @drew_mackey77

We were looking forward to a return home to Indy for a Purdue Final 4. Alas, Arizona spoiled that - but here's a photo from last summer's visit. Mural honoring one of the greatest ever to lace them up - @reggiewmiller31 taken in The Reggie Miller Mural by @drew_mackey77
