Well, I must say after MADONNA’s AMAZING opening performance at the MTV VMAs I said that’s it, can’t get any better and shut it off.

I don’t love the thing with her and Sabrina Carpenters, they should’ve just left that out at COACHELLA. But M humping in front of the “Like a Prayer” choir wearing their confessional robes was CLASSIC MADONNA!

And when they went into my favorite song from the new album, “DANCETERIA”, I was not disappointed and didn’t have a bad word to say. CHARLI XCX kept up with Madonna and was FIERCE. I love that she brought out DEBI MAZAR, which is one of the craziest lyrics in the song! Loved that they switched up some of the lyrics, although I couldn’t make out what “if __ __ is the DJ, hide the cocaine!” became… I think they changed it to “different DJs drinking cocaine“? But that doesn’t make any sense it must’ve been sniffing! And I don’t know why they had to change that guy‘s name he’s dead.

I was a little sad she didn’t do my tied-for- favorite song from the album, “READ MY LIPS”. The rest of the show doesn’t sound that amazing but at least there’s a tribute to GEORGE MICHAEL and NIRVANA. #VMAs #MADONNA #DebiMazar #DANCETERIA 🙌🏼👸🏼❤️💃🏻❤️ by @drewj69

Well let’s just say tonight’s DJs at RELOAD we often hear the phrase “their long awaited debut”… Some of us have been waiting for their debut for like 25 years! I can’t wait and I can tell you they were at THE ABBEY last week doing their research and studying the master DAWNA MONTEL. I think they absorbed a lot. They are going to be FIERCE tonight! What is this world we’re living in where a formerly pretty good “trendy” overpriced Subway sandwich and salad shop that pretends it’s made in Santa Barbara when it’s really made in PACOIMA advertises *this* thinking people in this neighborhood will run in for them! “I’m sorry but pork belly that sounds a little fancy for me. I’d hate to eat one of his best parts. Do you have any other parts of the pig?!“

As for BANH MI, that’s what I used to yell at club security when they would hurl false accusations at me. “No I didn’t, no it wasn’t, besides, it’s all gone now! I know all my DJ friends have to deal with a lot of stress when it comes to travel to and from gigs with sketchy drivers, making sure your equipment is set up, making sure you get paid, etc. but at least you guys don’t have to go through what DJ PRETTY MESS / ERIKA JAYNE went through last night. She gets there and there’s people doing her hair, a photo shoot, and I’m not kidding a guy with a microphone interviewing her! She’s like “Come on guys?! Last night at The Abbey was quite fun and at one point I noticed everyone’s attention was drawn to this one person on the dance floor. I didn’t realize she was a scheduled performer. She did a FIERCE performance to “SUNGLASSES AT NIGHT”, which was the theme of the night. In fact, one of the fountains was filled with those cute little rubber duckies with sunglasses on. I witnessed a queen steal one and reported her to security immediately!

This girl was very captivating, and even though it took her a couple seconds to get up from her “death drop” after the backflip, YOU try that?! Well as we get ready to watch the World Cup Finals, a.k.a. the MADONNA and Guests halftime show concert. I heard from a very reliable source last night who heard from another very reliable source that MADONNA will be doing my favorite song from the new album, “DANCETERIA”. Along with perhaps a group performance of one of her biggest and my favorite hits. I’ll be surprised because given some of the lyrics in “DANCETERIA”, I wouldn’t think it would be the one she would go with. But I’ll be happy if this person is right and let’s just say they are not often wrong! So place your bets now, GIRLS!
