I wish someone told me that business trips are just summer camp for adults 💼 ☀️

Learned a good bit but had a lot more fun! From playing DnD to doing so much karaoke, I couldn’t have done it with a cooler group of financial aid administrators. Just graduated from App State! It even snowed because Yosef was crying that I am leaving. Thanks to everyone that made the good times so much fun and helped me through the tough times. I’m definitely lucky to have such a good support system. Now, it’s time for me to head off into adult hood! by @drewjb73

Around a month ago I got to compete in a one-hundred person Survivor x Squid Games competition. I waited this long to post this because it takes forever to develop a disposable camera in 2025 and my photos got lost in the mail anyway. But this time allowed me time to reflect on one of the most unique experiences of my life and what I got out of it.

I remember being a little misty eyed walking to my car after I got eliminated because I felt like I wasted an amazing opportunity and made myself look like an idiot. I rolled my ankle in a challenge halfway through the nineteen hours that I competed for and was limping around for the rest of the competition. In my last challenge, my ankle buckled again which caused me to collapse midway through it before I got up and kept going. After what felt like years, the Jenga blocks that we stacked fell over on my turn, eliminating me.

While there have been days where I have nitpicked every part of this experience that I would’ve wanted to change, this has caused me to neglect all of its awesome moments. I competed in life size Survivor Challenges, casted votes in the dead of night, and strategized with new friends and survivor legends. Experiencing the sense of community that was fostered was my fondest memory of all though. The Survivor players that came out were such amazing people, @survivorcbs and @jeffprobst you know how to cast them. That night when I came back to watch the finale, to my surprise, I was told that I had such a legendary exit. Honestly, now I’m more grateful to have gone out in such an insanely dramatic way.

Overall, thanks @phmackk and @fca_survivor survivor for putting on such an amazing competition. It was so cool to get a small glimpse at what it’s like to play the show that I’ve been obsessed with for years. I don’t think that I will ever look back on this experience and feel completely happy. But as someone who hasn’t had a lot of life experience and has always been hard on myself, I am grateful that this experience reminded me that life is never gonna be perfect. I am so thankful to have competed against so many awesome people. I will never be able to look back on French Camp, MS without smiling. taken in French Camp, Mississippi by @drewjb73

It’s time for Mr. Drew to hang up his counselor hat. I’ve absolutely loved being an Adventure Camp counselor over the past five years. This job can be chaotic but in the most fun and rewarding ways. I won’t miss getting an insane farmer’s tan or getting unfairly criticized for my driving by my co workers. But I suppose that I did enjoy most of the time that I spent around them. I feel so lucky to have made so many awesome friends, everyone that I have met through this job is so special to me in their own unique way. by @drewjb73

Our Queen of the House Ashley passed away. She did a great job of taking care of us and will definitely be missed. She was seventeen years young and made the most of it. Words can’t describe how special of a cat she was but we were lucky to have her. by @drewjb73

The UK was, dare I say, magical! Wales was beautiful, we went on some river walks and saw the largest aqua duct in the world. Kathy and Gary could not have been more hospitable hosts! In London, we visited historic places like Big Ben, the Globe Theatre and London Tower. We saw Back to the Future the musical which was so much fun that I almost cried. The scope of it was amazing and I loved experiencing the story of one of my favorite movies again. We ate the best Indian food of my life at Dishoom. At Borough Market we tried some mushroom risotto and a world famous sausage roll. No we didn’t see Beyoncé in concert but we did take a picture next to her display in Kings Cross Station. Obviously, we visited Platform 9 and 3/4 while we were in Kings Cross. We did a Harry Potter walking tour as well, perhaps there’s still a small chance that I am a wizard. Will I ever go back to London? As Severus Snape said, “after all this time… always.” taken in United Kingdom by @drewjb73

Is it a vacation if I decide to stay in Ireland?🇮🇪 In Dublin, we heard some authentic Celtic music, visited the Book of Kells, had a great time at the Guinness Storehouse, and enjoyed taking in such an awesome city. We stopped at a tremendous chocolate factory for cakes and tea in rural Ireland. In Doolin, we went to some proper Irish pubs, saw the breathtaking Cliffs of Mohir (including some sheep) and visited primitive rock creations followed by a sheep herding demonstration. We even got to pet the dogs afterwards. Overall, it was a phenomenal start to the trip, stay tuned for part two in the UK 🇬🇧 taken in Ireland by @drewjb73

I MET JEFF PROBST!!!!!!!!! They say never meet your hero’s but those people never met Jeff. In all seriousness, yall know Survivor means a lot to me so it was really cool having an awesome conversation with the coolest tv host ever. Thanks to the homies @1517cholochurro and @jaxonschock for accompanying me on this voyage, they’re the best. It’s safe to say that meeting the host of Survivor will go down as the best birthday present that I’ve ever received! by @drewjb73
