Part 3: Greenland 🇬🇱

Sometimes you gotta just get away to the beach after a long season. So @acoops5 and I went north to a beach. We found shockingly good corn skiing after two weeks of rain. Wild places, classic dirtbag logistics that completely hinged on a fisherman named Kuluk who spoke no english and hitching a ride with the Kangaamiut Soccer Team.

Well it’s time for for a winter summary.

Part 1: California 🐻🏔️☀️❄️
It started out snowy @highsierrasnowcatandyurt & a brief interlude with @sweetwaterheliadventures staying good and cold throughout January faceting through old surfaces, more snow in February, followed by a brief rain event that turned things into insta corn without the normal transition, till the snow on cat roads ran out and I ran north.

I’m pretty sure it was the kiwi year of the shark 🦈 Not that that’s why we come here “It’s about so much more than the skiing” The crew showed up to track out the bowl, expose kids to punk rock fueled angry straight line sessions, and make the most out of 15cm at a time. Take a second next time you ski to help shovel, fix something take the trash down to the trailer, make everywhere you ski be a bit more like Olympus. This very special silver box on the side of a mountain feels like home (Yes, Children of Olympus shocker I do leave sometimes)

We did it all for the Optisign footage! Thanks @majestic_heli for another truly amazing season! Heli-skiing in Alaska is the best. But it’s only as much fun as the people you are with. A huge heartfelt thank you to the guests who came out to ski with us, the ground crew for keeping the motion lotion flowing, the lodge staff for feeding, cleaning and making the place feel like home; and finally guide team that feels like a second family for making this place one of the most special on the planet!

As we close out this winter, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our guests who made this season unforgettable! From deep powder turns too sunny corn laps and warm nights spent in the yurts. ❄️❤️

We’d also like to thank our team and partners who make it happen! Their hard work and dedication in making every moment possible. We couldn’t have done it without you! 🙌

🎊🎄🎁 Happy Holidays from High Sierra Snowcat! 🎉 Here’s a quick conditions update: the snow is fantastic in pockets, but access in and out of runs can be a bit tricky.
This season, we’re excited to offer a unique early-season experience, set apart from the crowded resorts and our typical cat skiing. A small group outing for 3-4 people at a time, in limited terrain. In the words of @jp.klein “We’re the best”

That’s a wrap on another epic season @mtolympusnz the tide was never high, but the fun level was! Grateful for the team that makes it happen here, the volunteers and the clubbies who make this place so special. The community is strong here regardless if the task at hand is shoveling or literally giving the boots off of your feet so everyone can ski. Take notes skiers, make everywhere feel a little more like Mt Olympus.
