My book has a cover! Look closely and you'll see a legendary ancient city, a determined young woman, fire, and a real Trojan horse. Oh my gods, some serious stuff is about to happen!

Here's the breakdown: Troy is doomed. Its only hope is an untamable horse and girl who lost everything, but just might be brave enough to take on Fates and change history.

📚 Coming February 2027!

Available for preorder NOW.⚡If you like your mythology with fierce women, dangerous horses, supernatural trouble, and a charioteer who refuses to stay in her lane, I'd love for you to come along for the ride.

The follow-up to Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey should definitely be a Muppet Movie. Hear me out... Read my latest Substack.

If you've even seen a trailer for a movie or TV show pop up on streaming and thought, "Wait... isn't that based on a Greek myth?"

Welcome to New Ancient Times, a substack where current news, pop culture, and ancient mythology merge.

Every issue delivers the “news you can use” from antiquity:
🔍 Archaeological Breakthroughs (like newly uncovered temples)
🎬 Pop Culture Deep Dives (why everyone is suddenly obsessed with The Odyssey again)
📜 Mythic Lore Made Practical (what 3,000-year-old stories actually teach us about navigating modern chaos)

My latest entry looks at why Odyssey searches just spiked by 571%—and why a word Homer wrote in Line 1 explains our obsession with flawed antiheroes.

You know how people talk and talk about “someday, I’ll write a novel”? Yeah, that was me for a long time. And now, after about five years of effort—including four and a half years of telling everyone it was “almost done”—my book, She Steers the Fates, is officially coming out in February 2027.

I know! I’m as surprised as you are.

A twist on Greek mythology, it’s about a young woman named Andromache who takes refuge in Troy, only to discover that the city is destined to burn... unless she unleashes the fury of a Trojan horse. It’s a story for anyone who saw The Odyssey this summer, or anyone who loves hope, wild horses, and stubborn heroes.

Plus, there’s a major twist in the book that I’ve been sitting on for years, and I can’t wait for everyone to read it!

Welcome to my author page! The countdown to February is on. by @drewrivetty
