A quiet moment to yourself can begin with a few drops.

I formulated Brilliance Oil Concentrate with nourishing botanical oils, bakuchiol, and antioxidant-rich extracts. Lightweight and silky on the skin, it absorbs beautifully and leaves skin feeling soft, supple, and nourished.

Take a moment to press it gently into your skin and enjoy its delicate botanical aroma. Morning and evening, this is the first step in the Doctor Hopiola two-step practice.

Follow with Superior Refining Serum to complete the practice, pairing the oil’s botanical nourishment with the serum’s hydration.

Have you ever used a skincare product for weeks and thought: “I honestly can’t tell if this is working”?

Part of the problem may be that “working” is surprisingly vague.

We buy products hoping for better skin, then judge them by a mirror check on a random Tuesday. But a more useful question is: What did I choose this product to do, and am I consistently noticing that?

That might mean softer-feeling skin. Better hydration. Smoother-looking texture. Or simply that your skin feels more comfortable over time.

The point is not to look for any change. It is to look for the right change.

That same thinking guides Dr. Hope’s approach to formulation.

Each Doctor Hopiola product is created with a specific role in mind, and the two finished formulas are designed to work together.

Before replacing a product, ask yourself the questions in this carousel.

And if you are looking for a considered two-step practice, you can explore the Radiance Set at drhopiola.com (link in bio @drhopiola).

There is something lovely about the cool, smooth feel of the Dr. Hopiola Sculpting Tool against your skin.

Over Brilliance Oil Concentrate, it glides along the contours of the face with gentle pressure. I reach for it when I want to slow down, massage my face, and enjoy a few quiet minutes before applying Superior Refining Serum.

For aestheticians, that same moment can become part of a treatment your clients look forward to.

In honor of National Aesthetician Day, we have a gift for new Partner Collective members: a complimentary Sculpting Tool with your first wholesale order of six or more Radiance Sets, October 15–31.

If you’re new to Faire and order through our Faire Direct link, you may also qualify for 50% off your first order (up to $150) and a year of free shipping with Dr. Hopiola, funded by Faire.

If your usual skincare no longer feels right during perimenopause or menopause, there may be a reason.

As estrogen levels fluctuate and decline, skin can become less able to hold onto moisture. Collagen also declines, and skin can become thinner and less elastic. You may notice more dryness, less firmness, or fine lines that seem more visible.

It can be frustrating when products you have comfortably used for years no longer seem to suit your skin, especially if nobody has mentioned that menopause can affect your skin, too.

You may not need to change your whole routine. Start by paying attention to how your skin feels now. Gentle cleansing, a moisturizer that keeps your skin comfortable, and daily sun protection are good foundations.

On World Menopause Day, I want more women to know that these changes are common and deserve attention. If you have noticed a difference in your skin, it is worth bringing up in your next conversation with your physician.

As a physician and formulator, I put a lot of thought into what goes into these bottles. Hearing how people feel about their skin after using them is one of my favorite parts of this work.

Thank you, Kim, for sharing your experience.

I hear from women and men who tell me their skin feels softer, smoother and more comfortable with the Doctor Hopiola Radiance Set. That is the kind of feedback I hoped for when I created it.

Brilliance Oil Concentrate brings botanical nourishment. Superior Refining Serum brings hydration. Oil first, then serum—a two-step practice made to fit into your day.

If your skin’s needs have changed and you’re looking for a simpler routine, explore the Radiance Set at drhopiola.com (link in bio @drhopiola).

A little tingling can make a skincare product feel as though it must be “doing something.” But that feeling does not tell you whether it is working.

A serum may tingle without giving you the hydration or smoother-looking skin you bought it for.

I pay attention to two things:

𝟏. 𝐈𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭?
Persistent burning, significant redness, or discomfort should not be brushed aside as proof that it is working.

𝟐. 𝐀𝐦 𝐈 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐈’𝐦 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫?
Look for the specific result the product promises and whether you notice it with consistent use over time.

Skincare does not need to sting or tingle to be effective. You do not have to feel it working for it to work.

Save this for the next time you find yourself wondering whether tingling means results.

What do you look for when you read a skincare label?

If you’ve reacted to a product before, you may find yourself looking for fewer ingredients next time. That’s understandable.

But even a single ingredient can be one your skin doesn’t agree with.

The length of the list is only part of the picture. What’s in the formula, and what you already know about your skin, matters too.

A second bottle is its own kind of review.

At 60, Michelle had tried many clean skincare products recommended to her. When she tried Doctor Hopiola, she loved how it felt on her dry skin from the first application. After documenting her 28-day experience, she wanted to continue.

She called it “magic.” For me, hearing that she enjoyed using it and wanted to order again meant so much.

Thank you, Michelle, for trusting Doctor Hopiola and letting us share your experience and photographs.

Still carrying the warmth of the day.

From setting up our space to the final conversations, BITE NYC was a wonderful experience.

It was deeply rewarding to put Dr. Hopiola into the hands of retailers, distributors, estheticians and beauty professionals, and share why I created our two-step skincare routine.

Thank you for your curiosity, your thoughtful questions and the time you spent with us. I loved sharing the formulas and the care and personal experiences that shaped them.

To our community: thank you for sharing your experiences with Dr. Hopiola. You helped me tell our story in New York.

And thank you to the BITE team for creating a space where independent beauty brands and their founders can be discovered.

I came home grateful, encouraged and excited for what comes next. If we met at BITE, I’d love to stay connected.

With love and integrity,
Dr. Hope
