The day got away from me yesterday and I forgot to post for National Sons Day!

Love this kiddo and his big heart and big brain!

She’s not afraid to dance to the beat of her own drum and I hope she never lets anyone convince her to do otherwise.

Happy Daughters Day my precious baby girl!

Today’s debate:

It’s Homecoming Week and yesterday was Wacky Wednesday, arguably Scarlet’s favorite spirit day. I got to thinking yesterday, that this might be her last and it sent me down memory lane and debating which is my favorite style we’ve ever done. I found pics of all of her hairstyles from previous Wacky Wednesdays (minus some from dance spirit days). This year’s was fun, but I think the birds nest was my favorite.

Scarlet participated in her last Rockette Dance Clinic last night 😢. She has done all but one since she was two. Time is a thief!

Also yesterday, we had Killian’s candlelight ceremony at taekwondo. This is the ceremony where he officially received his 2nd degree belt. So proud of this kiddo and thankful he has found his safe place.

Busy day for our household yesterday! Up first, we added a new family member! His name is Mordecai (IYKYK) and he is a 12 week (as of tomorrow) old Maine Coon kitten. The kids are in love, Azula is not a fan, but is adjusting better than I thought she would, and the dogs have barely noticed!

Final concert of the summer and in true millennial fashion, another genre, this time country!

@thechicks have been one of my favorites since high school, when I listened to a friends CDs on a school trip, and have been on my bucket list for awhile now, so when it was announced they were playing the state fair, I was sold! They played over 20 songs with a good mix from each of their albums. These women can still put on one heck of a show, though it does make me feel old that this was the second concert where the lead singer’s child was in their band 🤣 (also happened with Train).
