POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Allow me to introduce ourselves, the pickers and makers of Drifters Thrift Bar!

Peter and Ivy are a cute little couple living in Longmont Colorado and are pursuing the dream to f*ck the man and work for ourselves!

Long story short, we hit it off instantly and when discovered that we share the same dream of owning a venue we about crapped our pants!

Ivy (the one who is probably always going to be posting) is a wedding and portrait photographer and is obsessed with love, passion, and creativity. I’m a sucker for a craft, hobby, or quirky interest. If you’re passionate about it I could literally talk to you forever about it.

Peter is a musician by blood. He’s the sweetheart bassist that everyone adores (everyone thinks that right). His dream of owning a venue to host huge music shows and events was the huge holy sh*t moment that struck the concept of Drifters!

We’ve both been thrifters since we were young babes and that was honestly such a green flag for me when we got to chatting. To me thrifting is so much cooler than buying new. You have to curate a style, you have to put together what you think represents your authentic self, and it’s environmentally conscious! So hot!

So wtf is Drifters exactly? 😵‍💫

Currently it’s a lot of really amazing finds stuffed neatly in a storage unit with a hope and a dream (can also be found at local pop ups). 😉

Coming soon, it’s a curated vintage clothing store that obviously has a bar with AFFORDABLE cocktails and mocktails. We are all about supporting local and small so you bet we are going to have all the Longmont favorites in the lineup! To add to the ambiance… we’re an event space that brings community together! We’re going to have a stage for live music, comedy shows, and definitely karaoke. We’re going to have artists come and demonstrate and teach. We want all the creatives to circle together to crochet and chat. Literally all things creative!

We are so excited to eventually offer this incredible, fun, creative, clean, supportive, sustainable, funky, wild, and exciting place to the Longmont community!

Tell us what you want to see more of in Longmont?

🗳️ This event is going to be so awesome! 🤩
You know how understanding what’s on the ballot is like really hard? Well you’re not alone!

🗳️ So I selfishly asked really smart and knowledgeable friends to come and help us all understand what it all means! It’s not a discussion about who you should vote for or which way to vote but just getting into what a yes means and what a no means on the propositions.

🗳️ Bring your ballot and a pen and get ready to be the change you wish to see in the world!

🤘 Rebellion Rising is a modern rock band with versatile influences. Their sound is an amalgamation of classic rock, thrash, hard rock with a peppering of punk rock. Heavy chugging guitar riffs with tasty leads driven by thunderous drums and bass lay the foundation for the powerful female fronted vocals to shine through.

Rogue 2 is playing at Drifters TONIGHT, Saturday, October 10th from 8-11pm.
For more than a decade, Rogue 2 has been taking songs from across the musical map and rebuilding them in their own slightly twisted image. Johnny Cash and Billie Elish. The Killers and Black Sabbath. Lady Gaga, Nine Inch Nails, Journey, Sublime- sometimes all in the same set. If it has a great hook, a killer groove, or presents an especially entertaining opportunity for musical vandalism, it’s fair game.
Not your typical cover band, putting banjo where it doesn’t belong since 2012.

Check out all of our upcoming events on our website!

🪩 Don’t miss our Grander Re-Opening party Friday October 9th!
We’re bringing back @zoonido_zoonido, @kari.delaluna, @treasure_tranquility & @dj_sh34 to finish what they well didn’t get to start. Dj Zoonido is starting us off right with some Cumbia sounds and dancing along side him is sword balancing, belly dancing Kari!
Treasure will be glowing and dancing with hoops and fans!
Robert will be painting in the introverted cozy corner (secret tip: look at the ceiling when you’re back there)

Closing out the night is @thejazzmonauts! Bringing a blend of jazz harmony with EDM, funk, Latin, and experimental sounds to the Drifters stage. They bring high energy, genre-blending improv to every set!

@propertrampstattoosociety has also offered to do our flash for another weekend! Come to drifters and grab your discount ticket and then bring it to them on Friday and/or Saturday to get some of our awesome flash designed by @stella.newens.
