420HP. NOTHING CRAZY. JUST STAY ON TRACK.
Meet Florida drifter Max Councill and the simple philosophy behind his 1JZ-powered S13. #drift #drifting

Backstory
DRIFTING RUNS IN THE FAMILY.
Max got his push into drifting from his two brothers in Colorado. Motorsports had always been part of the family, but drifting was the one that stuck.

Why the S13?
“IT WAS WHAT WAS AVAILABLE.”
The S13 wasn’t part of some huge master plan. It was Max’s first drift car, it worked, and most importantly—it got him on track.

Build Breakdown
SIMPLE. RELIABLE. 420HP.
1JZ. Stock internals. GKTech angle kit. Cage built by his brother Benjamin Councill. Max’s goal isn’t to overcomplicate the car—it’s to change fluids, throw on tires, and keep driving.

How Long He’s Been Drifting
7–8 YEARS SIDEWAYS.
After nearly a decade behind the wheel, the driving is only part of what keeps Max coming back.

Favorite Places to Drift
FROM NEW MEXICO TO FLORIDA.
Max’s favorite track overall is Suika Circuit in New Mexico, especially for No Coast Drift Party. In Florida, Lead Foot City and OSW stand out, with Max leaning toward Lead Foot for the overall facility and experience.
