Today’s car knitting is a scrappy project I’m making with my 2024 @risingtidefiberco Advent. I’m alternating between each mini skein color with an undyed natural color. I’ll be able to use each color twice, so it’ll turn out to be a nice sized lap blanket. Thanks also to @m1yarns for the undyed skeins!

Syver took this video of me knitting while we were out to dinner in Santa Barbara almost two weeks ago. I can’t believe two weeks have gone by since I flew out to join him in California for a couple days during his work trip. This trip reminded me how much I love going on adventures together (and how thankful I am that my favorite hobby is so portable 😆). #travel #knitting #knitters by @driftlessknitter

On Friday I flew out to Santa Barbara to join Syver for the weekend while he is on a two week work trip. Though it felt indulgent to come out here without the kids (they’re in the capable hands of their grandparents), it’s been a wonderful few days relaxing and reconnecting. We never had Santa Barbara on our list of places to visit, but I’m so glad this opportunity came up! Saturday we enjoyed a nice long walk along the beach, found the farmer’s market, did some shopping, and had a beautiful dinner. Sunday we hiked in the mountains, visited Slovagn CA, and I got some knitting done! #knitting #knitters #sockknitting by @driftlessknitter

Up with the two olders this Sunday morning. Getting in some knitting and coffee before Hannah wakes up. I’m still working through my DK minis from @palmeryarnco 2025 Color Collective to make the DK version of the Lovelight blanket. This pattern adaptation will be ready in time for advent mini season!

We’re spending the day at my in-laws farm and soaking in the nice weather while it lasts. Next week is going to be HOT. I managed to get a row of knitting in on my DK weight Lovelight blanket while the boys ran around and Hannah was distracted. lol I promise you this pattern is coming soon, it’s only been almost two years since the original was released. 🙃 #farm #knitting #knitters #knittersofinstagram #lovetoknit by @driftlessknitter

Baby’s first time at @thesowsearcafe for a sister/niece day! Hannah enjoyed some coffee, bought some yarn, and chatted the day away. Oh wait, that was me. 😄

The days have been flying by and I can’t believe it’s already the end of May. I’ve been quiet here mostly because I’m either at work or I’m with my kids and there’s honestly not much time in between those two things. Tonight I have a rare moment of quiet with a new knitting project, and I’m watching the Brewers game while I stitch. This feels like a luxury and I’m soaking it in!

She might have a double ear infection, but she’s still happy in her handknits! Pattern is the Greyson Cardigan by Benja Kirk.

I’m a day late, but Hannah is 6 months old as of yesterday! I can’t believe 6 months have gone by already, but our sweet girl is now sitting up on her own, laughing at her big brothers, and eating a few solids. She loves to cuddle, smiling and “talking” while getting her diaper changed, but isn’t a big fan of sleeping on her own. I feel so lucky to be her Mama and can’t wait for all the adventures we’ll have. ❤️ by @driftlessknitter
