I remember the first week of med school. A third year Warwick med student reached out and messaged me on insta to let me know that if I ever needed any help I could always ask her (I can’t find her insta now but if she still follows me and sees this hi, and thank you - you will always be in my core memories! 🫶🏽) I remember thinking if I make it to third year then I can BREATHE. Then I will know that I’ve made it. I’ll be halfway through the course and the worst of the exams will be out of the way. I won’t feel like an imposter. I won’t feel so anxious about every small hurdle. The focus will shift from academic to clinical. My short term goal became making it to third year - and I’m so happy to say that I MADE IT 🙌 ✅

I feel lighter, less jittery, and generally excited about the months ahead. I’m so relieved to have passed my exams and I feel like the massive dark cloud that was looming over me has finally shifted 🥰

I can’t believe how quickly I’ve got here, it seems like yesterday that I was reading her message. And to all the first years reading this do let me know if you need any help - and time flies, you’ll work harder than you could ever imagine, just keep treading because you WILL make it!!
