Release letter, Cab 22
Harvest always reminds us why we’re doing this. It’s the pulse of the year, always unique and energizing. We’ve had unforgettable harvests—the first harvest, the fires harvest, the 24-hour notice harvest before the rains.

But this year was different. It was the first harvest with our families.

Since our first visit to Bates Ranch, we’ve dreamed of sharing it with them. Harvest days are when the ranch comes alive—teams singing, bins filling with fruit, sticky hands, and Nick’s dog, Tinto, sneaking low-hanging grapes.

Our parents and siblings finally got to see the magic: picking fruit (and eating plenty), walking through the Bates home, meeting legendary Prudy Foxx, and ending the day sipping wine together, exhausted and happy.

This harvest was one we’ll always cherish, and we hope the 2022 Origin Cab carries some of that warmth and character. We’re excited to share it with you—so you can create a little magic of your own. by @drink.origin

The final Origin Rosé release! A farewell toast. The 2023 Origin Rosé is a tribute to the wine that started it all. Rich & layered fruit that fizzles in the glass. A celebration of sun-drenched afternoons and pink-tinted memories. Savor every last drop. This is not the end of Origin – just an opportunity to explore new opportunities. by @drink.origin

By the time harvest season came in 2021, the world had reawakened. Travel, weddings, dinner parties, family visits, clinking glasses. We were together again. It was a pure joy.

The vineyard mirrored the feeling with a growing season the was untainted and ethereal. The air was clear, rays of sun celestial, and fruit unblemished. No heat spikes, fires, or late frosts. Just beautiful, natural cabernet.

At harvest, we gathered to celebrate our third year in Bates Ranch. We hosted meals and took photos of what Origin was originally about – seeing life through a glass of wine and a table surrounded by good company.

And now, we share the 2021 Origin Cab with all of you so you can share it with the people you love. One of the most rewarding parts for us is the connection with you all. The heart on a post from an old friend or photo of a family with an empty bottle on their dining room table. Becoming a small part of your holiday has become our greatest gift.

The new 2021 Origin Cab is here, and 20% off for a limited time.

A gift from nature, the 2021 Origin Cab is a pure, elegant, and handcrafted. It brought us together in the vineyard and around candlelit tables. It’s the present with a story that’s worth sharing.
