discover where the pink comes from.

it appears the moment you pour: a soft, cloudy blush that comes straight from nature.

our grapefruit grows in sicily, where the sun does most of the work. we press it gently and add a little extract from the zest and a touch of organic hibiscus. nothing else.

the fruit itself brings plenty along: vitamin c, potassium and plant compounds. but we love it for how it tastes: fruity, tangy and full of character.

that’s why we keep it simple and naturally cloudy.

JUMP INTO YOUR NEXT WORKOUT.

That was the idea behind a day full of movement, good energy and even better people. 🤍

The day kicked off with a jumping workout that had everyone smiling (and a little out of breath). In between there was time to chat, meet new faces and refuel: @atlea.de had protein shakes ready and @healthbar_matcha served matcha. And when the last jump was done, a cold raaaw was the perfect refreshment. 🍋

It was a pleasure to be part of this event, meeting so many wonderful people and sharing a day centered around movement and wellbeing. ✨

our lemons and grapefruits grow on the slopes of mount etna, where citrus has been cultivated for centuries.

the soils around etna were formed through repeated volcanic activity and have a distinct mineral composition. recent research comparing sicilian citrus from volcanic and non-volcanic areas found measurable differences in their elemental profiles. citrus grown in volcanic areas showed higher concentrations of several elements, including potassium, phosphorus and iron.

that doesn’t mean volcanic soil simply transfers its minerals directly into the fruit. nutrient uptake is more complex than that, and depends on the soil, the tree, water availability and how the orchard is managed. but mineral nutrition does play an important role in citrus growth and fruit characteristics, with potassium being one of the most influential nutrients studied in citrus production.

etna-grown lemons have also been studied specifically for their composition, including vitamin c, flavonoids and other naturally occurring compounds, with researchers noting that the local geography, soil and climate give the area a distinctive growing environment.

the ground is part of what makes this growing region different.

where our raspberry gets its character.

willamette is a summer-bearing red raspberry variety known for its deep red color, soft texture and distinctly tart flavor.

unlike many raspberries grown primarily for the fresh market, willamette is especially valued for processing. the berries are relatively soft, with a dark color and strong raspberry flavor; qualities that make the variety particularly well suited to freezing and other forms of processing. it’s also better adapted to cooler growing regions than to hot, dry conditions. the fruit ripens early in the summer season and, like other summer-bearing raspberries, produces one main crop each year.

dark red, soft, tart and intensely raspberry-like.

a variety valued for exactly what a raspberry should bring: color, character and flavor.

Day 2 of Bits & Pretzels, 7:30, and Munich’s founders were already lacing up 🏃🥨

@goeverstride set the pace and took the crew on a run through the city, @drinkraaaw was waiting at the finish with fresh hydration to get everyone ready for the day.

Thanks to everyone who got up early and ran with us. Best way to start a startup day, and we’ll be doing it again.

a lot of what makes citrus smell like citrus sits in the peel.

much of the characteristic aroma of citrus comes from compounds stored in oil glands in the peel. when the peel is zested, these glands are broken open and release volatile aromatic oils.

citrus peel is also a concentrated source of polyphenols and flavonoids, with levels often higher than in the juice or pulp.

that’s why we use citrus zest extract in raaaw. it adds aromatic compounds from the peel and brings them together with the fruit’s acidity and sweetness.

a small part of the fruit, but the most important one for its aroma.
