hey there testing testing can you read my hand writing ? funny fact when i was in elementary prolly 4th grade my mom thought my handwriting was so bad she tried to make me write w my left hand but it was just as bad so she stopped trying anyways im taking myself onna 90 day challenge of self rediscovery that involve journal prompts of various products now since im so good at doing things w my bare hands i thought id share this writing i also made this journal myself if you couldn’t tell by how the words are in yellow jail. it’s ok if you can’t read library cards are free n open to the public but in the meantime get into this transcription the prompt was my fav artist:
it’s hard to define my favorite artist. i love music for the way it makes me fell n the way it decorates time. i can’t define the soundtrack of my life n visions w jus one sound so recently i’ve delegated to exploring a genre i adoringly refer to as GRITS rap.
GRITS rap as in Girls Raised In The South rap. Some ppl refer to these artists as female rapper but for me the distinction lies in their southern upbringing. In my eyes n ears the south is the birthplace of all americas culture thus it is natural that the rhythm n poetry of the region is most times groundbreaking as well as varied.
my fav GRITS rapper are black ladies needless to say. the fore thinkers of all things swaggy on this soundscape that evoke every emotion from pride n pleasure to fury or gloom. a practiced GRITS rapper can turn any dissonance into ear worms.

my fav quote of all time by Ram Dass goes something like “either you do it like issa big weight on you or you do it as part of the dance”. that is precisely what my fav artists embody. their self expression even if complex feelings make stiff limbs trodden by the ways of the world suddenly shake like jelly or jam. they can turn the most sour days sweet w a lil bit of funk or maybe a whole lotta whole lotta.
my fav artists are all the girls raised inna souf that never let society box them in they never let their past define their future they never stay down for long. my favs show up regardless of the forecast cuz sometimes it’s just a muggy cloudy day but no rain sometim by @drippingswagg00
