We’re back with Episode 2 of Pocket Therapy, bringing you a simple tool your mind and body might truly thank you for. The Butterfly Hug Instructions Find a quiet, comfortable space where you feel safe. Close your eyes. Take a slow deep breath in through your nose, and exhale through your mouth. Cross your arms over your chest—place your right hand on your left collarbone, and your left hand on your right collarbone. Start gently tapping your hands, one side at a time (left–right–left), like a soft rhythm. As you tap, keep breathing slowly and repeat kind words to yourself: “I’m safe. I’m proud of myself. I’m doing my best.” Continue for a few moments until your body feels a little calmer. Finish by giving yourself a gentle hug. Show yourself a little extra love today because you truly deserve it. 💛 by @dristymoktann
Introducing Pocket Therapy. Bite-sized conversations on mental health that fit right into your day. In our first episode, Fheal’s Co-Founders, Dristy Moktan and Dipesh Tandukar come together to answer a question we all need to hear. Tune in and take a pocket of care with you. - #fheal #pockettherapy by @dristymoktann
On our first anniversary, Fheal partnered with Revolution Project to plant a pocket forest of 50 native trees in Kathmandu. 🌳 Why trees? Because research shows nature reduces stress, anxiety, and depression and our city needs more green spaces to breathe and heal. Here’s to one year of mental health care, and to many years of greener tomorrows. 💚 - #fheal #mentalhealthawareness #wellbeing #reforestation by @dristymoktann
We are all here to live, not to suffocate. I hope you all find the right partner… oh wait, I mean the right counselor! 😉 And remember, seeking help is never a sign of weakness. Sometimes, all we need is someone who listens, understands, and helps us find our way back to ourselves. Feel free to reach out to Fheal Nepal for counseling and the peace of mind you deserve. 🌿 Because life is meant to be lived, not just survived. ❤️ #rewritewithmithu #fhealnepal #mentalwellbeing #findrightcounselor by @dristymoktann
The NWSN community needs your support now more than ever. We’re looking for volunteers who can spare their time to ensure that flood-affected communities continue to receive the care and support they need. If you’re interested in being part of this effort, fill out the form linked in our bio or DM us to learn more. Let’s continue showing up for the communities that need us. 💚 by @dristymoktann
A month has passed since the floods, yet many affected families are still living with uncertainty. With NPR 16.15 arba reported in the relief fund, where is the visible progress in rehabilitation? What plans are in place for housing, livelihoods, and long-term recovery? Affected communities deserve answers, transparency, and action, not prolonged uncertainty. Rehabilitation cannot remain a promise. The government must answer for the progress made, the plans ahead, and the people who are still waiting. Because recovery is not measured by the funds collected, but by the lives rebuilt and the communities reached. by @dristymoktann
Sometimes, support looks like a conversation. Sometimes, it looks like a bracelet made by small hands, a shared cup of tea, a moment of laughter, or simply someone sitting beside you. 🤍 Nepal Wellbeing Support Network brings people and organizations together to create these moments of connection for communities affected by the crisis. Because in difficult times, healing can begin in the smallest moments. Together, we create space to connect, express, and simply be. 🌱 #NWSN #NepalWellbeingSupportNetwork #CommunityWellbeing #FloodResponse by @dristymoktann
Beaded bracelet-making with children at Gosok (Pahelo) Gumba Holding Centre. 💛 A simple activity to keep them engaged, and happy during the holidays. We hope this idea helps others working with children in flood-affected communities. Together, let’s create an environment where everyone feels safe. 💛 - #nwsn by @dristymoktann
Mental health support shouldn’t begin only when things become overwhelming. 🌿 My next guests from FHEAL are working toward a Nepal where conversations about mental wellbeing become part of our everyday lives. And an important part of that vision? Supporting the counselors who spend their lives supporting others. 🤍 We talked about care, community, accessibility, and what it really takes to build a healthier mental-health ecosystem in Nepal. Tomorrow on Rewrite with Mithu. #rewritewithmithu #miithu #healing #fheal #mentalhealth by @dristymoktann
Whenever I complete any community session, my heart is always full of the learnings and the moments created with the community members, and this session was no less. Being able to talk about mental health awareness and seeing the aama haru open their hearts to learn about self-care and self-love is such a refreshing sight. The amount of love and blessings I receive when I work with the community can never be limited to a few words. Here’s to battling the stigma around mental health, one community at a time. 💛 - #fheal by @dristymoktann
The Grounding Circle really did ground us mindfully with yoga and art! 💛 - #fheal #yogsama by @dristymoktann
