Last Friday at The Quail, California, the Airion was introduced (say it AIR-ON), the first car from @airion_automotive . A Porsche 993 based sports car, conceived, engineered and built in Germany.

Engineered, not restored. This isn’t a restoration made beautiful. The 993 has been refined where it should be and evolved where necessary, left exactly as it should be in the places that made it iconic. Keep the best, evolve the rest.

The design was shaped with @borromeodesilva in Milan.

The interior is all new, with no plastic anywhere inside. European walnut machined to modern tolerances, a fully hidden carbon fibre rollover structure, solid metal finishings. The engineering was done with @hwaag_official in Affalterbach. Lighter than the lightest road-going 993, more power than the most potent naturally aspirated one, and it keeps its original Porsche VIN.
