My personal highlight at the @86_dach Meet. The GR86 belongs to @gr86_chriis. The lilac colour immediately caught my eye and I just had to take a closer look. The colour really makes the car’s design such a world of good. All the curves of the original design really stand out so much better, and I couldn’t stop looking at it. And the whole time I had to imagine that the car probably smelled of lavender. (Maybe that’s also because it’s my favourite colour and flower lol.)
I really took great care during the image editing to ensure that the colour comes across as well as it does in real life.
A truly bold but incredibly harmonious choice of colour!

So yesterday, for the first time in years, I went to the @toyota_collection. It was the @86_dach meet-up and there were loads of stunning GT86s, GR86s, BRZs and even AE86s.
On jannik533’s BRZ, the Work Meister S1 rims caught my eye straight away. Timeless design, looks brilliant on a white BRZ, and just how well they sit on it! I love it! Absolutely stunning car, @jannik533! taken in Toyota Collection by @driverslensde

Fell for electric long before it was cool.

The NIO ET5 was one of those cars that quietly rewired my brain — no drama, no fake aggression, just clean design and a level of refinement that makes you question everything you thought you knew about EVs.

Simple doesn’t mean boring. The lines flow, the proportions just work, and the build quality? Way better than people expect. This is the kind of car that doesn’t shout… it just knows.

Specs for the nerds (yes, that includes you): – Dual motor AWD
– ~490 hp (360 kW)
– 0–100 km/h in ~4.0s
– Up to ~590 km range (WLTP, depending on battery)
– Battery swap capable (still one of the wildest flexes in the EV world)

I’ve driven quite a few EVs by now, but the NIO still remains one of my favorites.

This wasn’t just another car I drove — it’s one of the reasons I actually started liking EVs.

Alright, so… I've got zero clue about Hot Rods. No idea what model this is, no idea what year it rolled out (or rolled back in), and I don't even want to imagine how many hours it took to make it look like this, let alone how much emotional pain went into it.

Now, I am a trained car mechanic.. but American cars and Hot Rods? Yeah, that's still another planet for me. I can at least tell you what's happening in the engine bay: there's an Edelbrock intake, a big ol' scoop that could easily inhale a pigeon, and side pipes that look ready to scream.. except they're sealed off, probably to keep the neighbors and German regulations happy. Oh, and those headers? Nicely heat-kissed into a rainbow, which is basically art at this point.

So yeah, I can’t give you the spec sheet, I can't quote the horsepower, and I definitely can't tell you if this thing's comfy to drive. But I can tell you it's the kind of car you stare at, grin like an idiot, and just think: “Damn... that's cool.” 🏁💚

Nothing screams pure driving euphoria quite like a drop-top Porsche 997 Turbo… unless it's been taken to the next level by the legendary 9FF. 💀 This isn't just a sports car, it's a statement, a fusion of German engineering precision and extreme performance tuning.

For those who don't know, 9FF made its name by pushing Porsches to outrageous limits. We're talking 1,000+ horsepower builds and top speeds well beyond 400 km/h. While the stock 997 Turbo Cabrio was already a beast with its twin-turbo 3.6L flat-six, 9FF adds bigger turbos, bespoke exhaust systems, and reinforced transmissions to make sure every gear change feels like a punch from Thor himself. ⚡️

And here's the crazy part, I saw this car completely random today. Out of nowhere, just cruising by. It instantly reminded me of when I spotted a red 997 Coupé 9FF about 2 or 3 years ago, back then I was already blown away by the rarity of seeing one in the wild. I wish I could've taken more shots this time, but the driver was way too quick for me. Guess I'll just have to keep my eyes (and camera) ready for the next 9FF encounter. 😅📸 by @driverslensde

Stumbled across this E12 Corolla hatch, tucked away on a quiet residential parking spot. It's clearly not stock, those dual-tone bumpers, aftermarket mirrors, and the 2000s-style rear lights scream “someone cared once.” The red-bolts on the wheels and fat dual exhaust hint that this car might’ve seen better, faster days.

You can’t help but wonder: is it just a humble 1.4L trying to look the part? Or is it something spicier? Maybe even a TS rocking the 2.0L 1AZ-FE or, if we’re lucky, the 2ZZ-GE hiding under that hood?
No badges, no clues. Just a quiet warrior aging in peace.

I love cars like this. Ones that once lived on the edge of tuning culture, now slowly blending back into the everyday. Maybe someone’s first project car. Maybe daily driven until the TÜV said no more. Or maybe it's just waiting for one more revival.

Whatever the story, it still holds presence, dust and all.

Loud nights, louder engines.

Some moments don't need planning, just the right people, the right cars, and a quiet corner of the harbor to remind us why we fell in love with all this in the first place.

On the right: @nardo.mx absolutely feral turbo NB. Probably one of the loudest street cars I've ever stood next to, and that's saying something. It's raw, unapologetic, and beautifully put together. Seeing it run strong still puts a smile on my face, especially knowing what it went through. Long may it scream. 🙌

And then there's my Alfa Romeo 156 Busso 2.5l V6. The idle? Rougher than a sack of walnuts in a washing machine. The smell? Straight-up Eau de Öl. But once it's moving, smooth as butter, sharp as a blade. KW coilovers and sticky semis make it ride like a skateboard on cobblestones, but god damn, it moves. That Busso still sings, even through the misfires and oil mist. And honestly? I wouldn't want it any other way.

We weren't out to impress. Just parked up with friends, cracked a few jokes, talked nonsense while the cranes lit up the night behind us. The city hummed in the distance, and for a few hours, everything felt just… right.

Btw, check out @motographic.vision !!🫶🏻 taken in Hamburg Harbour by @driverslensde

The W210 E-Class Limousine You Never Knew Existed

Every now and then, the street throws something at you that stops you in your tracks. This silver spaceship disguised as a Mercedes-Benz W210 isn’t just rare, it’s unbelievable. A six-door stretch limousine based on the E-Class? That’s not just uncommon. That’s unicorn-level.

The standard W210, built between 1995 and 2002, was already a solid piece of engineering — known for its executive comfort, understated luxury, and that unmistakable twin-headlight face. But this? This is something else. It’s not an S-Class. It’s not a Maybach. It’s an E-Class with six full doors, extended somewhere between "diplomatic elegance" and "fever dream."

And it gets better, look closely and you'll spot flagpole mounts on both fenders. That hints at some serious past life, this wasn’t built for prom night or celebrity parties. This was probably commissioned for government use, diplomatic delegations, or high-ranking officials needing discree. Mercedes offered factory long-wheelbase W210s (mostly for China and the Middle East), but this full stretch with six functioning doors? That’s a rare coachbuilt variant, possibly by firms like Binz, Trasco, or Pullman-affiliated workshops.

Specs? Hard to say without peeking under the hood, but chances are this beast ran a V6 or even the smooth V8 from the E420 or E430 lineup. Enough to move the extra mass without losing that Mercedes glide. The interior likely featured opposing rear seats or a partition setup something to suit formal transport duties rather than luxury lounging.

Seeing a car like this just casually sitting on a side street, unbothered, feels surreal. To car nerds, it’s like spotting a Cold War artifact in the wild. You just stand there wondering
Who rode in it?
Where did it go?
Why build such an absurdly specific machine on an E-Class base?

The W210 is becoming a rare sight in general these days, plagued by rust and often forgotten. But this six-door diplomatic mystery limo? It's one of those once-in-a-decade street sightings. A machine that doesn’t just take up space, it holds history. by @driverslensde

Spotted this Mercedes-Benz CL600 (C140) just sitting by the roadside and honestly, I had to stop and admire it. Built between 1992 and 1999, the C140 was Mercedes’ flagship coupe of the era, a true monument to over engineering and luxury. Under the hood? A silky-smooth 6.0-liter V12 (M120), producing around 394 hp the same engine block that would later help power the Pagani Zonda.

The design is bold, yet refined pillarless, imposing, and unmistakably '90s in the best way. Back then, this was the car of choice for world leaders, CEOs, and the kind of people who didn’t ask about fuel economy. Today, it’s a rare sight, most have vanished into collections or been neglected beyond saving.

To see one casually parked like this, still wearing its factory wheels and original paint, feels like finding a sleeping giant. A relic from a time when Mercedes built cars not to impress, but to last forever.

Just look at her. A timeless piece of automotive history, the Mk1 Golf Cabriolet! Now rolling in deep, dark purple like it just stepped out of a 90s fever dream.

This beauty isn’t just a car. It’s a vibe. Classic boxy lines, that iconic drop-top silhouette, and a color that turns heads without screaming. Whether you’re cruising through the city or parked by the lake at sunset, this little convertible makes everything feel like a movie scene.

The Mk1 Cabrio was born out of pure VW charm, solid German engineering mixed with the freedom of open-air driving. And despite its humble roots, it’s aged into a true icon. Light on its feet, easy to work on, and with a style that refuses to die, it’s no wonder enthusiasts keep them alive decades later.

Under the hood? It might not be a rocket, but it’s got enough soul to make every drive feel special. No digital nonsense, no fake engine noise, just the wind, the road, and a little engine that could.

Dark purple might not have been the factory choice back then, but damn does it suit her. It’s a bold twist on a classic, a nod to individuality without losing the retro spirit.

If you know, you know.
If you don’t… take a ride. You’ll get it.
