"Getting a master’s degree isn’t just about learning more — it’s about sharpening your focus, deepening your expertise, and opening doors to new possibilities."

To my beloved fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., my family, my school Bethune-Cookman University, and to the spirits of Kaimir and Johvan — I come with a heavy heart and deep reflection. To my brothers in Sigma, thank you for being a light and a guide, for standing for principles that mold men of value, especially in times when the world feels cold and unforgiving. To my family, whose love grounds me even when life feels unsteady, and to Bethune-Cookman, an institution that has shaped me, nurtured my mind, and held me in a community of excellence and resilience — I am endlessly grateful and thank you for the last 5 1/2 years and 2 Degrees 🐯. And to Kaimir and Johvan, two young souls taken far too soon, I’m so sorry. I’m sorry that the world did not give you the chance to grow, to thrive, to see the dreams you were building come to life. You deserved joy, peace, and a future, and the cruelty of this world failed you. Your lives were not in vain. We carry your names, your spirits, and your memories with us. I will do my part to live intentionally, to honor your stories, and to help create a world where young Black lives are cherished, protected, and uplifted. May you both rest in power.

To Adrianna Jones There are no words that can truly reach the depth of pain that comes with losing a child, and I know that anything I write will fall short of what your heart is carrying. But I want you to know that you are not alone—and that I am holding you in my thoughts with deep compassion and sorrow. taken in Bethune-Cookman University by @drjiggporter

Dear my late founder Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune and my late fraternity brother Dr. Daryl Frazier,
I write this letter with deep gratitude and reverence for the impact you have both had on my life—one through the legacy of vision and empowerment, and the other through personal guidance and inspiration.
Dr. Bethune, your unwavering commitment to education and equality created a path where there once was none. Through Bethune-Cookman, you not only gave a voice to the voiceless but built an institution where Black excellence could thrive against all odds. Your belief that “education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom” continues to resonate through the lives of so many, including mine. Your strength, faith, and purpose have helped shape generations. Thank you for being a light in the darkness and a leader ahead of your time.
Dr. Daryl Frazier, though you are no longer with us, your influence remains strong. You were more than just a teacher—you were a mentor, a guide, and a source of constant encouragement. You believed in me even when I struggled to believe in myself. Your passion for teaching and your care for your students left an imprint on my heart. I carry your lessons, your wisdom, and your spirit with me in all I do.
To both of you, thank you—for your courage, your sacrifice, and your commitment to lifting others. You have shaped not only my journey, but the journeys of countless others. I honor your legacy by striving to live with purpose, pursue excellence, and give back wherever I can.

Thank you once again for @bcu_gammasigs and @whiteheartproduction for simply believing in me🙏🏽

With deepest respect and gratitude,

TEXA∑ CHAIN∑AW🐯💙

Dear God,
I come before You with a heart full of gratitude. Today, as I reflect on the path that led me to earning my master’s degree, I am overwhelmed by the many moments—both joyful and painful—that shaped this journey. Thank You for being with me through every step.
Thank You for the doors You opened, the opportunities You made possible, and the strength You gave me to walk through them. Thank You also for the delays, the detours, and even the disappointments—for they taught me patience, built my character, and deepened my trust in You.
There were times I felt like giving up, when the pressure felt too heavy and the road too long. But You never left my side. You gave me peace in the chaos, hope in the uncertainty, and the courage to keep going when I wanted to quit. taken in Bethune-Cookman University by @drjiggporter
