✨ I Sought The Lord ✨

…And He Answered 🥹

October 15, 2025 will FOREVER go down in the books…and it all happened with faith, prayer, angels, and God’s power.

I officially saw my first patient in my first surgical clinic as an independent surgeon…and it was EXHILARATING!

No glitz, no glam, no grand opening nor ribbon cutting, in a shared space with no staff, no fancy decor nor crystal chandeliers…just grit, resilience, and perseverance to take a leap of faith and just start. I am honored to finally have full authority to take care of my patients in the way they should be taken care of: with compassion, gentleness, and respect…in totality.

These are VERY small and humble beginnings…I am so grateful for this season! I will celebrate and cherish every second. God is birthing something in me…I am excited to watch it grow (and ✨ GLOW ✨)!

To be celebrated among women who are leading boldly, living authentically, and making meaningful contributions to their communities is truly a blessing. ✨ THE BACKSIDE OF THE BLESSING ✨

The Blessing: Stepping into private practice after 12 years of being a hospital-employed surgeon following training.

The Backside: PAYING ENTREPRENEUR TAXES! 😩💸

YAAAAALLLLLL!!! 😭

I was already over here trying to keep this overhead afloat while building my practice from the ground up. And NOW?! Uncle Sam has me in a CHOKEHOLD! 😂

But you know what? I HAD IT TO GIVE! 🙌🏾😭

For the first time since I started filing taxes at 18 years old, I had to PAY taxes instead of getting a refund. 👀

Over the past year and a half, I’ve been diligent about setting aside a percentage of my income for taxes, having absolutely NO idea how much I would actually owe. This is my first time navigating entrepreneurship, and let me tell you…there is a learning curve!

I’m not going to lie. I was worried. There were moments when I had to dip into those savings just to keep the lights on, the doors open, and the practice moving forward. Some months were tighter than others. Some decisions required more faith than financial certainty.

But one thing God kept reminding me was: “If it’s My will, I’ll take care of the bill.” 🙌🏾 And that’s EXACTLY what He did! When the time came to pay, I HAD IT TO GIVE.

Not because the journey has been easy. Not because I’ve had an abundance of resources. But because God has been faithful through EVERY season of this process. And THAT is the blessing within the backside of the blessing. 🥹

This past year and a half has stretched me, humbled me, challenged me, and taught me more than I could have ever imagined. But it has also given me some of the most beautiful, rewarding, and affirming moments of my life.

What initially felt like being forced out of a job turned out to be God redirecting me into my purpose. I didn’t understand it then. But I am beginning to understand it now.

The blessing isn’t always that you don’t have a bill to pay. Sometimes, the blessing is that when the bill comes…YOU HAVE IT TO GIVE. 🙌🏾

✨ IT’S A NATIONAL HOLIDAY! ✨

Three years later, and @tisharowemd , this is STILL my favorite photo of us… celebrating YOU, your life, and your born day! 🥳

I can’t believe it’s been EIGHT years since we first met! We were both tenderlings back then, figuring out life, finding our footing, and discovering who we were becoming. And somehow, every single year has been better than the last. What an honor it has been to stand beside you, witness your journey, and call you my friend!

I have watched you blossom, evolve, and become an absolute POWERHOUSE in so many arenas of life: businesswoman, doctor, mother, sister, daughter, community leader, youth mentor, and SO much more!

Was the road easy? No.
Was the road straight and perfect? Absolutely not.
Was the road filled with onlookers who didn’t understand your journey, doubted your vision, or even prayed for your downfall? Of course.
But was the road worth it? EVERY. LAST. MILE.

As we celebrate another milestone birthday, I find myself reflecting not just on the accomplishments of Dr. Latisha Rowe, but on Latisha, the woman behind it all. And I am in awe.

You set out to do exactly what you said you were going to do. Through every twist, turn, obstacle, and unexpected blessing, you kept going. You kept becoming. You kept showing up.

THAT is what makes you magical! 💫

Thank you for showing up, showing out, and reminding everyone around you what it looks like to walk boldly in your purpose.

Now, my friend… it’s time to return the favor. 😉🥂

✨ Standing on His Promise ✨

WHEW! That was surprisingly NOT easy! 😮‍💨

I finally stopped playing around and made the hard decision to be obedient.

Sometimes our deepest fears, society’s ridiculous expectations, and the endless “what ifs” quietly influence decisions that aren’t even in our best interest.

But I finally LET GO and decided to let God do His thing.

And BABY…the weight that lifted! 🥹🙌🏾

Now, don’t get it twisted. The doors are still open! 😂 I haven’t given up on dating. I’m just approaching it differently.

Dating is simply collecting data. DATS IT! 📝 But gone are the days of keeping a roster of “potentials” just for the sake of having options. Ain’t no more potentials. Just the ONE who aligns with what God has for me. ☝🏾

I’m no longer making decisions from a place of fear, scarcity, or the need for a backup plan. I’m choosing faith over fear. Discernment over distraction. And God’s promises over my own attempts at control.

Because if I truly believe He can do exceedingly and abundantly above all I could ask or imagine, why am I out here trying to help Him do His job?! 😂

The assignment is obedience. The outcome belongs to Him. And THIS kind of peace? You can’t buy it. 🤍 by @drkaneneubesiemd

Maximizing softness, galas, seeing amazing friends look so pretty, fancy dinners at new places, conversations and belly laughs with the BFF, receiving exclusive hospitality from the establishment because you treat the staff well, DANCING 😍, feeling magical, and sleeping well.

✨ Oh, nothing… JUST DROPPED A COOL 20-PIECE! ✨

AND I DID NOT DIE! 🙌🏾🤣🏃🏾‍♀️

The odds were NOT in my favor today! Forgotten run fuel (thank God for bananas 🍌), heat, little sleep, and NO rest day yesterday (did HYROX training and a 5-miler because we’re BUILDING ENDURANCE, baby! 😮‍💨)

But I’m not focusing on any of that.

I. FINISHED. IT. 🙌🏾

Was it slow? Yep.
Did it take ALL my mental strength? ABSOLUTELY.
Did I take planned walking breaks every fourth mile? Sure did!
Do I care about the pace? NOT ONE BIT! 😂

Last week, I ran 18 miles after a rest day. Today, I ran 20 WITHOUT one. And I can FEEL myself getting stronger! 💪🏾

NYC, I’M READY FOR YOU! 🗽🍎

Not chasing a PR. Anything can happen on race day. I’m chasing something bigger: the finish line of a marathon I’ve waited NINE YEARS to run. 🥹

This is about the work, the growth, and keeping a promise to myself.
