45 Riots reimagines Earth, Wind & Fire’s “Gratitude” as a joyful, live-band celebration of soul and funk, featuring DR King on lead vocals. It’s the first single from an eight-song album conceived and executive produced by 45 Riots founder and bassist Adam Mason, celebrating the R&B, soul and funk music that shaped him as a musician and inspired the creation of 45 Riots in NYC.

The track was produced and arranged by Grammy-winning keyboardist/producer Ondřej Pivec, with horns arranged by 11-time Grammy-winning arranger and former Prince & the New Power Generation horn-section leader Philip Lassiter. Recorded at Grand Street Recording in Brooklyn and mastered by Fred Kevorkian, it features a full live rhythm and horn section drawn from the 45 Riots musical community.

“Gratitude” introduces an album rooted in the musicianship, energy and collaborative spirit of New York’s live soul scene, with three additional singles planned through year-end before the full album release.
