It all happens so fast. From the first steps ro becoming a young woman I always saw my little girl. But this accomplishment is proof of the beautiful goal-drivem young lady you are. You said I want to graduate in 3 years and you not only did it but you did so gracefully with little complaints.

I'm so proud of you and looking forward to your next four years as a Morgan State Bear! Please join me in congratulating Kenzie on her high school graduation and many thanks for all who have prayed and supported her through this milestone. It takes a village and our's is outstanding! by @drknupe

Haven't been on social media posting but wanted to say thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes. Thankful for another year to try and honor those who have laid the foundation on which I stand. Didnt know how to express how i felt when she passed shortly before Thanksgiving but this picture was the last time I got to dance with my grandmother. The world she faced and conquered to allow me to enjoy the blessings in my life cannot be put into a simple post.

Just know she was a phenomenal woman who accomplished many firsts and endured much so that many of us could experience our first.

This year has taught me to enjoy life, give flowers and live everyday while we can and leave your loved ones better tomorrow than they were today.

So we are taught that we are here to teach our children about life and what it takes to be successful. We'll this year, she taught me. Coming out of the pandemic, she had only participated in gymnastics. This summer, she decided she wanted to play basketball and try out for the team as an 8th grader. As a parent, I wanted to protect her and not let her experience disappointment given she had never played. Instead, she went to VCU basketball camp and played against girls more advanced than her and stuck through all the comments and knowing she was behind girls her age. Fast forward, she just completed her season after making the team. I'm grateful to support and watch her new journey. She has taught me to never be afraid to be true to yourself and to battle through things even when it seems so far away. And through it all, be unapologetic for the race you are running. So proud of the young women she is becoming! #Girldad by @drknupe
