10 days post-op and I finally feel like myself again. ✨

Thank you @drkplasticsurgery for removing my implants!

I got implants 5 years ago because after breastfeeding two children for years my breasts sagged and I felt so uncomfortable in my own body with and without clothes! I ended up going to the Dominican Republic to get a breast lift with implants and little did I know that a couple years later I would start getting BII symptoms and a capsular contracture.

For a long time, I was fighting a battle inside my own body. On the outside, things looked fine, but underneath, I was dealing with a Grade 3 capsular contracture—the tissue had hardened, causing constant discomfort. On top of the physical pain, the systemic symptoms of Breast Implant Illness (BII) started taking over. The constant brain fog, chronic fatigue, and joint aches became a heavy daily shadow.

Following the guidance of Dr. K, we decided on a complete removal without a lift, utilizing the areola incision to keep things as seamless as possible.

Making the decision to explant isn’t easy, but ten days out, the cloud is lifting, the physical tension is gone, and I am overwhelmed with pure happiness. Listening to my body was the best choice I ever made.

When the team walks in, you already know it’s good news… but the real question is: champagne or Botox? 👀

Ms. Isabel wanted to share her experience with us involving Breast Implant Illness (BII).
Breast Implant Illness (BII) describes a range of symptoms some women report after augmentation - including fatigue, brain fog, joint pain, and inflammation.
While not yet a formal diagnosis, awareness continues to grow as more women share their experiences.
Every journey is personal. 🤍
Our priority is listening, educating, and supporting patients in making informed decisions about their health and their bodies. taken in Dr. K Plastic Surgery- Beverly Hills by @drkplasticsurgery
