We had some very special and very friendly visitors at breakfast this morning! Cockatoo & king parrots 🫶🦜 #homezoo by @drlauraelliott

Sometimes it feels like I blinked and you turned four. Happy birthday to our gentle yet strong-willed little go-getter. We had the best day celebrating you. So much love little lady 💙 by @drlauraelliott

It’s a privilege to tend to the soil, grow our own food, give our scraps to the girls 🐓 and, in return, collect their eggs. Simple things, yet I take none of it for granted 🌱 by @drlauraelliott

Reflections on 40 🤍

They say 40 is the start of the second chapter, and I’m stepping into it with arms wide open.

Reflections: the in-between matters just as much as the arrival. The quiet moments, the ordinary days, the bits we rush past on the way to the next thing - that’s where life actually happens.

Time is precious, and it isn’t infinite, and it’s flying faster than ever. So my intention for this next chapter is simple: be more present, more connected, and make more time for the people I love. More adventures, more phone calls home, more saying yes to friends and family.

And as always, health is the greatest asset. When you feel strong and healthy you have more energy to do life and it’s way more fun!

Here’s to making the most of now. And making the next decade even better than the last 🫶✨

40 ✨ part 1 & 2

Ben planned the most Lausy perfect three-part bday celebration and I’m still floating.

💪 Part one: workout and team race to kick things off
🔥 Part two: Aufguss and bathhouse session at Vikasati
🌿 Part three: long lunch at The Greenhouse, river views and sunshine

A day of good vibes, delicious food and sunshine. I got to spend the day with some of my favourite humans, the ones who make Brisbane feel like home.

And the biggest surprise of all…Ben secretly organised my whole family to fly in from Adelaide and turn up on my doorstep to be part of the special day. 🥹

Incredibly grateful, and my heart is so, so full.

Big thank you to Benny my stunning man. And thank you to everyone who made 40 feel so good. ❤️

This year turning 40 aligned with TURF GAMES GC 2026 😮‍💨😆
It was a bit of a chaotic lead-up, one of our team came down with gastro the night before, so our friend Steve got a 6am Sunday wakeup call and very kindly came to save us. What a legend.

Really grateful for this team. Three of us are 40+ and four have young kids, so getting everyone together as a team to train didn’t happen, but to compete and have a day like this is pretty special.

We finished 37th out of 310 teams, which we were really happy with. I also somehow managed a 60kg clean + hang clean complex PB, which was a nice little bonus.

More than anything, I always leave these comps feeling grateful to be surrounded by such incredible people. It’s pretty cool to turn 40 and still finding new things to work towards, getting a little fitter and stronger along the way. Bring on next year! 💪 @turfgamesaus by @drlauraelliott

There’s something special about coming together with a group and setting intention for 20 minutes to pause, reflect, connect with your body and do something great for your health. To not have to think, but instead to simply trust in your Aufguss Master, @drlauraelliott who guides your breathing, the intensity of the heat, a journey of scent and sound, and gives you gentle encouragement and clarity when it gets hard.

Vikasati Aufguss has quickly become one of our most sought after sessions, and it books out every time. If you know, you know. If you’re yet to experience it, check the upcoming dates below and give it a try:

Tue 22 Sep 6pm
Tue 29 Sep 6pm
Wed 30 Sep 1015am

Book a normal Sanctuary session at a time where your 90 minutes runs across the Aufguss, and remember to still start your session at your booked time. by @drlauraelliott

Nothing like a cuddle from your little sis 💗 by @drlauraelliott

Today we had our final farewell & celebrated the life of our beloved Babcia and PraBabcia. 🕊️

An incredible woman who survived war, loss, and hardship most of us can’t imagine. She was a beacon of unconditional love to five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and to everyone lucky enough to know her.

A family legacy is not built on material things, but on the invisible gifts passed down through generations.

Babcia, you taught us what resilience really looks like, and what it means to give everything of yourself to the people you love. We will carry you with us always.

It is an honour to carry on my mother line,
