It felt too hot for me to do much of anything this morning, so I played around with a trapeze version of the #trxdeadbug which has been popping up on my feed. It's harder than it looks and I am guessing it'll be even harder on the trx.

I also managed to get myself about a millimeter off the ground with my heel hang for like a millisecond. i haven't been able to do this at all in the last couple of years, so i was excited for a little bit of airtime.

Despite it being hotter than sriracha sauce outside, it felt like a successful practice.

After my first performance many moons ago, I thought it would be a fun challenge to eventually incorporate physical comedy into an aerial act. A couple of years later, @misstattoo83 & @satya_performance_arts, brilliantly came up with a show that allowed this to happen. Critters and Tea 🫖 has provided a platform for me to meet this goal many times over (or at least attempt to).

This year's show was an absolute blast. I loved being apart of it! Playing the March Hare wasn't a stretch for me since I typically am losing many of my belongings ( my mind included) and making some sort of mess in one way or another.

Highlights include: learning & then performing on the aerial cube for the first time, learning to sew (thanks @owlymo ), throwing random items all over the stage including pokemon cards, streamers, & a toothbrush, and of course performing along side a cast of talented & wonderful people. Thank you Sarah & Katie for allowing me to partake in the shenanigans!

Critters & Tea is just a couple of days away & I am so excited! Looking forward to creating some chaos as the March Hare on the aerial cube. Ill try not to make too much of a mess.

Lauren has been involved in the aerial arts for the past decade. She has trained & performed on numerous apparatuses including silks, sling, lyra & trapeze. This will be her 5th Critters & Tea. Lauren is drawn to this particular show due to her love of levity, tea drinking, tea spilling and critter collecting.

When Lauren isn't flying, she is surrounded by a household full of critters including two dogs, a bearded dragon, a ball python, three human children and a human husband. She enjoys relaxing after a long day with a cup of ginger turmeric tea. by @drlaureng

I got a chance to play around yesterday on sling with some things that I was working on in October in trapology class. It was fun seeing how it could easily be translated to sling.
