Check out the Class of Slow Impact 2026.

CSEF Board member and inaugural scholarship recipient Stephanie LaVita had a simple idea at Slow Impact: photograph as many college grads as she could and let the images speak for themselves.

“I wanted to create a visual representation of the folks attending who have a college degree, while highlighting skillsets you wouldn’t have known otherwise. A face to a degree, in hopes of sparking conversation. Our own skate alumni.”

When we started CSEF it was about changing the narrative around skateboarders. You could be in the streets and an academic in the classroom at the same time. Building a community of academic skateboarders has been one of the best unexpected outcomes along the way.

Not everyone can say they enjoyed 2025. Grateful to be given the opportunity to share the year with great people doing some pretty rad things. Thank you to those who made it special ❤️ by @drlipschits
