The other evening, the sky was amazing! The almost full moon was rising and the sky was lavender, so lovely. Hard too gone, the scene in the west was sunset with a phenomenal set of colors. This image was created in camera using Dark Mode. I’m including the images that created this ME. A perfect example of the magic of fusion. The moon shot is horrible, nothing in focus, just a blob of white. However, when it was joined with the brilliant sunset sky in Dark Mode, the dark stripes from the sunset appear. The moon is much better!

This image is from another field trip, this time to Placerville, about an hour from Sacramento going towards Lake Tahoe. It was near where gold was discovered and has a lot of history. I loved this building with such beautiful details on the second story windows. I shot two images, one landscape and the other portrait. I made sure to match the lines in the center of the picture. I love using the Multiple Exposure setting and being able to see how my images come together through the viewfinder. I used Light Mode as I wanted the pale blue and white to be dominate.

I did use the Transform feature in Lightroom Classic to correct the angle from shooting below the windows. Included are the two images, SOOC and two versions of the ME. One is framed and the other not.

Our Renaissance Society Classes have started back and we had a field trip for our Photography As Art to our local old town. As you may remember, my favorite place to shoot is…the Candy Store! They have so many tubs full of candy, it is really a treat to shoot there! This image is from two in camera ICMs in the Multiple Exposure Dark Mode. I’ve included the two images as well.

Have you ever been out somewhere and found a potential image you know you “need”? I was at a cafe in Capitola ( near Santa Cruz) and the courtyard was so cool, I HAD to take pics🤩. At first I added 2 images in Photoshop. One was the overhead shot with lots of lines and a fern I loved that had black and white in the background. I blended it in Dissolve mode and it was too boring. Bummer, then I remembered the chairs I had taken at the State Fair. Figured a pop of color would help!

Abstract creations are so much fun! I included the images that created the “Abstract Feels” I used theDifference Mode and the fusion of the 2 pics.

Had the opportunity to visit a local Dahlia Farm late last month. It was a little difficult to capture one Dahlia as they were so close together. This image was created in camera, using the Light Mode for fusing. I liked using Light Mode to try and cover up some of the long stems.

Cloudy Morning today, such a nice change for us! This is a Multiple Exposure of 5 images in camera, shot in Continuous and using the Dark Mode setting. Not a lot of difference in the first few images, but I liked the way they all worked together!

Another little part of the California State Fair. This was my last day to visit and I liked this ME in camera. Felt like it was a bit messy and captured the feel of the fair. The two images that created the ME are also shared.

Little bit of fun from the State Fair. This Cantina is right by the Expo Buildings with the Photography & Fine Arts display. These images were taken with my iPhone using the Slow Shutter App. I combined them in Photoshop and flipped one image. Also cropped it to delete the darker area. Also sharing the additional images.

The California State Fair for 2026 is over now. I missed almost 10 days of the 21 due to my Anemia Find. I did take a couple minutes to shoot my favorite Midway Ride!

These two images were combined in Photoshop, using the Divide Mode at 50%. The two images that created the fusion are shared as well.

Another image with a little selfie! I love how fusing two pics together when neither image alone is anything spectacular and the blending mode, Dark Mode in this case makes a little magic show. These were done in camera.

I’ve learned how much your health really matters! It’s been tough recovering from a Dislocated Shoulder. Finally got the OK from my PT to carry my camera…WOO HOO!!

Set back this week. 3 Ambulance trips & overnight in the hospital for severe Anemia. Had no clue!

This ICM+ME I just took this morning on my dog walk at the river. I’m so thankful to be out and upright!

It’s in Dark Mode and a Selfie. For me, it represents Seeing the Light. I’m back to enjoying what I love!

Woo hoo! Took my lightest Nikon out for a spin with a really light lens for just a few quick shots. Talk about a “Happy Dance!” This is a Multiple Exposure in camera. I also included the two images that created it.
