To get inducted into the Top Doctor Hall of Fame, a physician must have been selected by their peers at least 5 times out of the past 10 years. I would like to thank my colleagues for granting me this incredible honor and for placing me in this elite group of physicians/surgeons. It is your trust in me that has allowed me to blossom into the surgeon I am today. I will always strive to do right by you and most importantly, to the patients you refer to me and trust in my care. That is an honor I do not take lightly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Never did I imagine any of this. We came to the US from Iran when I was 2 with nothing. We had lost so much and had left everything behind. All because of the war. I’m from a town in Iran called Ahvaz, one of the most heavily affected by the war. My uncle was struck by a missile when he was 20 and died in his mother’s (my grandmother’s) arms. My brother learned how to walk during a missile strike when my family was running for shelter. We lost so many loved ones, our home, everything my family had worked so hard to build. What my family experienced isn’t something any human should endure.

Everything I have and everything I am is because of my family’s utter devotion to me and my dreams. War is a pure dark destructive force and yet my family still chose love. They chose love when the world had shown them so much hate, so much destruction. That is what they instilled in me. The active choice to love. To turn darkness into light and to spread that light with unwavering discipline and commitment. That is what I strive to do with my work and for you, my #NazSquad.

I would like to dedicate this to all the children in Iran, Israel, Lebanon, and all over the world, who like me, live with the darkness of war. May I serve as an example of how love and hard work can transform that darkness into light. That darkness isn’t me, that darkness isn’t us. We must actively choose love and commit ourselves to spreading that light, however dark it gets around us. Thank you all for opening your hearts to me and for blessing me with your love and light. 🌟 Washingtonian Top Doctor - Plastic Surgeon

To be voted as one of the top plastic surgeons in the DMV by my peers aka fellow physicians/surgeons…this may just be my new top career highlight.

I have devoted the better part of my life to medicine and Oculofacial plastic surgery. Before Talia, it was the only thing that mattered to me outside of family. As my mother always says, you have 2 children, Talia & your career. I give my 2 “children” my all every single minute of every single day.

When I got the news that I received one of the coveted Washingtonian top plastic surgeons spots, I’m pretty sure my soul left my body. It’s one of those moments that you dream of and when it finally happens, it forces you to stop and think back to all the moments that got you there. You realize how tough and how high the climb was and is…and that it’s the climbing that builds you. 🏔️😵‍💫🙏🏽❤️‍🔥

Thank you to my peers who voted for me and who believe that I am worthy of this honor. Thank you for trusting me with your patients and with their care. Our beautiful out-of-town patient documented and shared her own healing journey with us. 🤍

She underwent a quad blepharoplasty - upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty - along with CO₂ laser resurfacing of the lower eyelid skin.

Here she is before surgery (top), 1 week post-op immediately after suture removal (middle), and just 1 month post-op (bottom).

For her upper eyelids, I removed excess skin and a conservative amount of muscle, while carefully sculpting the underlying fat to create a smooth, natural upper eyelid contour.

For her lower eyelids, I repositioned all three orbital fat pads rather than simply removing them. This helps soften the transition between the lower eyelid and cheek while preserving volume. I then treated the lower eyelid skin with CO₂ laser resurfacing to improve skin texture and fine lines.

Upper Blepharoplasty + Lacrimal Gland Repositioning 👁️

This beautiful patient is 2.5 months out from upper eyelid blepharoplasty with lacrimal gland repositioning.

One thing I specifically evaluate before upper eyelid surgery is the lacrimal (tear) gland. A prolapsed lacrimal gland can create fullness in the outer upper eyelid, just beneath the brow.

👉🏼 Swipe to the second photo to see the prolapsed lacrimal glands circled in red.

If that lateral fullness is coming from the lacrimal gland, simply removing more skin or fat doesn’t address the underlying cause and can leave residual fullness after surgery.

Recognizing and repositioning the gland when appropriate creates a smoother transition between the upper eyelid and brow and a more refined outer contour.

✨ Beautiful eyelid surgery starts with understanding the anatomy behind what you’re seeing - not simply removing more tissue.
