One of my favorite cases to date -
Pay attention to the lips; Notice how much fuller they got completely naturally. This is because I filled the smile from the sides and brought the arch form in - thereby dropping the lips like a curtain draping over the teeth.
Lips are dynamic and act like a rubber band - so when you change the environment around them, they change too by @drmarynashed

Every now and then unique challenges come your way and you think to yourself, “what on earth do I do here”.
That’s when you tap into your creative mind and think of every tool you have in your toolbox to create magic.

To my fellow dentists out there - what would you do to address the aesthetically poor implant crown on #10? Would love to hear some thoughts and what you think I did 👀 by @drmarynashed

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗵.

Unfortunately, this meant she was unable to floss or properly clean between her teeth, leading to significant gum inflammation and buildup.

𝗦𝗼, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀?
Veneers or composite bonding.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗜 𝗱𝗼?
While veneers may seem like the more obvious solution, this patient is still young. Rather than committing her to a more permanent treatment before she is ready, our goal was to create a beautiful, functional solution that can serve her well until she is older and ready to consider veneers.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗱:

🦷 𝗚𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘆 to recontour and raise the gumline — notice the drop on the left side.

🦷 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 on the front 6 teeth to close the spaces and create more harmonious tooth shapes, proportions, and symmetry. This was done completely additively, without prepping her natural teeth at all.

🦷 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆, we restored her oral health and her ability to properly care for her teeth.

𝗔𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿.
It’s about creating a result that respects the 𝗴𝘂𝗺𝘀, 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, and most importantly, the 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲. by @drmarynashed

My biggest insecurity. We all see someone in the mirror nobody else sees. And for the last 6 years, it’s been my teeth that had me the most self conscious. Luckily, I found @maisonbedental & now it’s a thing of the past. I can’t even begin to explain how much this means to me. Aye, if you see me smiling all your long, now you know why. These are just the temps too 😎😁🦷 by @drmarynashed
