What if the question was never “How can I be better?” but instead, “How am I already enough?” 🤍

As women, we’ve been taught to do more, give more, be more. To hold everyone else together while quietly falling apart.

We learned to measure our worth by how much we could carry, how well we could serve, how little we could need.

But what if we chose a different story? 🌿

What if we stopped treating ourselves like a never-ending project? What if rest didn’t have to be earned? What if saying no was an act of self-respect? What if choosing ourselves wasn’t selfish, but sacred? What if we could simply be without constantly proving that we deserve to belong?

Your worth is not a reward for how much you do. It is the truth of who you are.

So perhaps the most radical thing we can do as women is stop asking, “How can I become more?” and begin asking, “What would it look like to honour the woman I already am?”

Not because we have nothing left to learn or become, but because we deserve love in every season of our becoming.

You were never meant to spend your whole life earning your own worth.

You were enough before you ever did a single thing to prove it. 🤍

Let this be your permission to come home to yourself.

I posted an article on Substack titled, We are not here to compete. We are here to Change the Culture.
Female leadership is about more than breaking barriers. It's about changing the culture.

The Cornell 7 story has sparked difficult conversations about gender, power, and accountability. It also reminds us why women need to stand together.

In business, leadership, and healthcare, the way we respond when another woman speaks up matters.

Do we listen? Do we take her concerns seriously? Do we challenge the biases that continue to shape women's experiences in the workplace?

Or do we allow discomfort, competition, and silence to maintain the status quo?

We don't need to teach women to become better at tolerating bias. We need to create cultures that challenge it.

That starts with how we lead. How we listen. How we use our influence. And whether we are willing to stand beside another woman when it matters.

Because leadership isn't just about the doors we open for ourselves. It's about changing the path for the women who come next.

Listen to her. Believe her enough to hear her. Stand beside her. Change the culture.

The next generation deserves better. And we all have a role to play. 💛

I know I’m not the only woman who has felt a heaviness around the news.
A heaviness that is difficult to put into words.

Because when something touches a collective nerve, we don't just hear the story.

We feel it.

We feel the grief.
The anger.
The fear.
The questions.

And perhaps most of all, we feel the deep desire for something different.

But I don't want our response to be fear.

I want it to be connection.

Women supporting women.
Women believing women.
Women listening without judgment.
Women speaking their truth.
Women using their voices when it matters.
Women creating workplaces, families, communities and cultures where the next generation doesn't have to carry what we have carried.

Because this is what I believe:

We are not simply here to succeed within the world we inherited. We are here to change it. ✨

And maybe that is the opportunity. To come closer. To stand together. To use our voices.

Not from fear.

From love and courage.

The next generation is watching.

Let's give them something better to inherit. 💛

If you work in healthcare, you know how quickly a perfectly planned day can turn into complete chaos. 🫣🔥

The schedule gets behind.
A patient needs more than expected.
An emergency walks through the door.
Your team needs an answer.
Someone calls. Someone texts. Something needs fixing. 😬

And as women, especially those of us who are used to being the ones who handle it, our instinct can be to move faster.

But faster isn't always better.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is pause.

Take one breath.

Step away for 30 seconds if you can.

Feel your feet on the floor.

And ask: What actually needs me right now?

You don't need to solve the entire day in the next five minutes.

You don't need to absorb everyone else's urgency.

And you don't need to become the chaos around you.

Pause. Breathe. Choose.

Because you can be in the middle of a very intense day and still choose how you want to lead through it.

The hardest thing for me has been trusting that it will all work out without trying to control it all.
Releasing the pressure.
Letting go of the need to know how it will unfold.
Allowing myself to breathe, soften, and receive.

Choosing self-trust over fear.
Choosing ease over force.
Choosing to believe that I can meet whatever comes, one step at a time. 🤍

My biggest takeaway from the leadership journey with Guiding Leaders so far... has been the power of amplified learning when surrounded by like-minded professionals who are equally committed to learning and growing.

The conversations, shared perspectives, and support from our teachers and mentors have made the experience so much greater.

If I could go back and give my younger self one piece of advice when looking for my first dental job, it would be this...

Don’t just look for a job. Look for an environment where you can grow. 🌱

Your first few years in dentistry are such an important time to build clinical confidence, learn how a practice really operates, and discover the kind of dentist and leader you want to become.

Look beyond the compensation and production numbers.

Pay attention to the team.
Look for experienced, long-term staff.
Ask about mentorship.
Find a practice that values continuing education.
And surround yourself with other dentists you can learn from.

Most importantly, remember that you are interviewing the office, too.

You don’t need to know everything when you graduate. Your skills, confidence and clinical judgment will grow with experience.

Ask questions. Seek guidance. Invest in yourself. And don’t be afraid to lean on the people around you.

You were never meant to figure it all out alone.

The right environment can accelerate your growth, not only as a dentist, but as a professional, a business owner and a leader.

And that is something worth being intentional about from the very beginning.🌟
